My name is Shawn. I am 29-years-old and currently reside in the Savannah, GA area. I've lived here the longest; I guess Savannah's my hometown, now. I moved here as a teen while my father was in the Army. I've lived in Nashville, TN, Augusta, GA and Ft. Bragg, NC before moving here.
I am currently single at the moment, but I'm not actively looking for a boyfriend. I just figure we'll find each other when the time's right, and I'll just leave it at that. It will happen when it happens. Seems like the guys I think are right are wrong. It hurts. I've got other stuff to do, however.
I'm a graduate of Armstrong Atlantic State University. I majored in Information Technology. I was once going to try to work on a minor in Computer Science, but I realized with that, I'll never get out of school. However, I am planning on returning to school to work on a Master's degree, one day. I know; I'm nuts. I was member the school's chapter of ACM, and participated with the school's Wesley Foundation.
The Atlanta Braves is my favorite baseball team. Baseball is the sport I enjoy the most. In fact, a picture I once had on this page featured a hat that is autographed by former Brave Tim Spooneybarger back when he was with the team. I'm starting to like football. I can tell you the goal of the game and some of its rules. I root for the Tennessee Titans.
I'm not much of a movie buff but if I like a certain film, I'm bound to watch it over and over again. It's not that I don't like movies, it is just that I can't stand sitting in a theater without moving. At least at home, if my butt falls asleep, I can switch hips or stretch without disturbing the people around me. I usually wait for something to come out on DVD.
I love music. Richard Marx is my all time favorite singer. I've been lucky to meet him four times. Besides Richard, a few other acts I enjoy are Amy Grant, Celine Dion, Billy Joel, *NSYNC, Savage Garden, and Faith Hill. My lastest find is Chicago. My catalog of my CD collection gives you a better idea of my taste. I usually say I like anything with a good beat so long as it isn't rap or metal.
I collect some Barbies, baseball cards, pens, post cards, and rabbit items of all sorts. I never had a rabbit as a child, but we do have cats. Too many cats at times! We also have a few dogs. I'm an amateur photographer. I love to travel.
Yes, I currently live at home with my father and my mother, just prior to her death in 2005. Somedays, I love living here and other days, I wish I had my own place. But as soon as I can, I'll get my own place. I have to be able to afford it. I guess living at home isn't too bad. At least my parents are willing to help me. I know there are parents out there that give the boot as soon as one is out of high school. Thank goodness I have a close knit family. Must the the military family factor. However, if I could live on my own, I'm ready to get a house. Some days, I doubt I'm ready to face the world. Yet, I know I can do it.
The event that had the biggest impact on my life was my mother's death. Many people tell me to get over it, but I never will. It is always going to impact me. I miss her dearly.
I could keep going on and on for my biography but I don't want to turn into a goober. I shall end this biography with a link to my page with 100 tidbits about me.
