I am a secret night owl.
I do not stay out late often.
There is something about the night air calls me.
I love to travel at night.
I don't like the country roads; they are scary.
The big city is what draws me!
The bight lights and people seem to scream to me.
It's a thrill I love.
It a feeling you can't find in the day.
I could stay out all night if I wanted.
At least until the life in the air goes to sleep.
I don't, thanks to the guilt of the day.
I've been to many a cities at night!
Atlanta on a fly-by on I-75.
Orlando, lost trying to find a hotel.
Orlando, waiting for my sister to get out of Sea World.
Tampa, with traffic backed up on I-4 at midnight.
Jacksonville, trying to find a place to sleep.
Chattanooga, around it on the I-24.
Nashville, just looking around or just getting into town.
Oh I've been many places more!
These cities just catch my mind for now!
There are pleasures of the night that I get from staying in, too.
Things on tv that never air in day.
Be it that one rare music video I love.
Or that one movie that I love and haven't seen in years.
Late night snacks I don't have to share.
Chatting online line with friends you only correspond by e-mail.
The radio playing more music than ads.
An escape from daylight and the real world.
Air that has had time to recover from the trauma from the day.
The night, another world for me that I love.
