I'm alive. I've just been busy. Very busy.
Tuesday was spent having a lunch with Lindsey. I had to take an online aptitude test for one of many jobs I've applied for. I had to take my brother to the DMV to transfer his truck into his name. My father owns the truck, but he couldn't go to take care of it, so I did. That trip to the DMV was much better than last week's DMV trip. I don't have to go to it for a while. That was just the morning and afternoon. I spent the rest of the day with Joey and his family. I watched half of Return of the Jedi with the kids before Joey got out of school. We went to dinner once he got home. Once we got back to his place, we worked out getting him caught up on school work, as well as helping him with a photo near and dear to his heart. We ended the night with watching the end of Finding Neverland. He was going to start the movie for me from the beginning, but I just watched it from the point he left off when he started to watch it. Towards the end, he explained why he chose the movie. He didn't have to. I didn't know much about the movie, but as soon as I realized Kate Winslet was sick, I understood.
Wednesday was spent all day with Joey as well. He had asked me Tuesday night to spend Wednesday with him. Wednesday was a day devoted to spend with the kids. The original idea was to take them to Fort Pulaski. He had me come along since the last time we had both been out there, it was with each other. He told me to bring the camera, too. On our way there, Joey stopped at the Oatland Island Wildlife Center. He thought the kids might like to see it. It's a mini-zoo here in town that's owned and operated by the school board, but its goal is to educate everyone on wildlife. The kids ended up enjoying it. We spent 2 and a half hours at Oatland, followed by an hour at Ft. Pulaski. Joey and I switched off and on camera duty. I took plenty of pictures of him interacting with his nephews and niece for his mother. Joey took plenty to practice his skills, and to sneak a few of me with the kids, as well. We could have used his mother's camera, but Joey wanted mine. I have trained him well. Not only did I learn from my photography class, he did as well. He wanted my camera for the zoom and the circular polarizer filter I have. Some of the shots he took followed the rule of thirds. After the day with the kids, we went to dinner with them, as well as with his mother and uncle. I came home and collapsed after we downloaded the photos to his computer.
I did have a quick job interview today. I also got called about another job I applied for. I don't have one yet, but I'm working on it. I also got a much needed nap in. The past 2 weeks helping others has worn me out, but I haven't minded. I've got another long day tomorrow with a trip to Statesboro.
And to end this with the Thursday Threesome
Onesome: Liquid-- is falling from the skies this time of year. Be it rain or snow or fog, what's late Winter looking like at your place? It's raining right now. At least it didn't rain yesterday. I got to see the lunar eclipse. ![]()
Twosome: Drops -- of sweetener? ...or teaspoons of sugar (okay, tablespoons
Threesome: Bandage-- your owies with a spray or with drops? Have you seen these liquid, no sting, bandage drops yet? Man, I'm thinking these may be ideal to have when you're out and about with kidlets! I have used the liquid bandage stuff before. It's good for the face when I have it.

And yes, it's a good thing. Yesterday, Joey came home to Savannah to return to school. His mother brought him home, and brought Joey's nephews and niece with her. I had met the set of twins, a little girl and a little boy, but I didn't get to meet their older brother while up there. Joey called me to let me know he got home, and to return my things I lent him. He asked me to join his family at dinner. Dinner ended up being Joey, his mother, his uncle Bob, and the kids. We had a nice little dinner. Joey took the boys to the buffet bar. I took the little girl to the buffet bar. Most of the dinner was spent talking and interacting with the kids. I wish I could have just spoken to him, but that will come in due time. Before we said goodbye, I gave him some more stuff to catch up on the school work he missed last week. I did enjoy having dinner with his family. His family has been nothing but good to me. They barely know me, but have acted as if I'm one of their own. I appreciate their caring so much.
Today has been a busy day running my family around. Right now, the only cars we can use are my car and my brother's truck. The truck was in the shop today, so all the driving was left to me.
I've got another day tomorrow taking Nicki to and from work, in addition to getting my car's oil changed, and taking Matthew to the DMV, on top of an assessment test I have to take online, and plans for tomorrow night. I love my family, but they drive me nuts. And I don't mind the rides, but when they all want things done at once and expect me to rearrange my plans to do their bidding, I get upset. It's really my sisters that get that way. Matthew's good about letting me do my stuff before his stuff when he needs help.
I also pulled out the Wii. I haven't played it in a while. So, I got a chance to play it. I wish I had some Wii points at the moment. They've added Super Mario Bros. 3 and Bubble Bobble to the virtual console! We were talking about video games last night, and I brought up the fact I have a Wii. I have discussed this fact with Joey many months ago. We talked about the golf game on Wii Sports. He still seems interested in trying it out. We had talked about playing the golf game back when I took that golf class. I told him I did well at the virtual golf. I just suck at the game in real life. One day, I'll see about getting together with Joey at his house just so he can beat my butt at yet another game. Yes, but I am the Yatzhee champ between the 2 of us! ![]()
