Onesome: Apple-- turnovers? Bear claws? Do you have a favorite pastry? You know, the one you can't pass up no matter what! I'm a sucker for cream horns.
Twosome: Pie-- or cake? You're out to dinner and you get your choice: What do you go for? ...or do you simply have to have the creme brulee? I'll take the cake nearly every time.
Threesome: Crust--makes the pie, ya' think? Which pie absolutely has to have the proper crust or it just doesn't work for you? I'm not a big pie eater. The pies I usually eat are chocolate ones. I'm not picky about the crust so long as the pie is yummy.
Happy Birthday, Momma. I still love you.

One of the best thing in life is a new set of pajamas. I got a new set today. The set is pink and floral in nature. I like it. It's got a spring vibe to it. I also think the set looks cute on me. But, the best part was putting them on. It was so nice to put them on after a nice, long, warm shower. It seems like a simple thing to do, but it's one of my favorite pleasures in life.
The other day, I picked up Nicki from work. When she got in the car, she mentioned the name April. I went to high school with a girl named April. I mentioned that. She asked me if this April from high school was a twin. Yes, she was. Seems April, who I'm not certain if I've seen in the past 10 years since I got out of high school, went through my sister's line. As far I know, this was the first time they ever met. Well, April recognized that Nicki looked like me and asked Nicki did she have a sister named Shawn. Nicki said yes, she did have a sister by that name. April proceeded to tell Nicki that we were in school together and asked how I was. Nicki explained I just graduated from college. As April left, she told Nicki to say hello to me.
I smiled when Nicki told me that story. I was such a geek in high school. I'm still a geek now, but compared to the girl I was then, I'm a babe now. I wore these horrible glasses. They were green with gray lenses. I was too afraid to try contacts. I never wore makeup. And my face was always broken out! In the personality department, I was the shy quiet girl that was too concerned with her work. Except for the time I let my geography class have it in 9th grade. That experience just showed the others to leave me alone or I could get mad. I was a dork. Looking back at the me then from the eyes of me now, I wouldn't be surprised if no one remembered me. I didn't think I was that memorable.
But, I was. April remembered me. Just last week, another girl from high school, Nicole, found me on MySpace and added me as a friend.
And there have been others from high school that have found me and messaged me to tell me they remember me after all these years. I must have done something right in high school.

I've tried before to work on my family tree, but have always lost interest. Seeing Joey's mother at the historical society working on Joey's family sparked my interest again. So, this weekend, I worked on it a bit. I'm working on it, now, as well. When I was at the historical society with Joey, I joked it would be funny if we were distant cousins.
If he is, he's probably related via my Grandma's side of the family.
I had a good day today. I did have Lindsey and Joey team up together and call me to check up on me today. I wasn't expecting it. It was Lindsey that called. But, I before I even picked up my phone, I had a feeling that the call was his idea. They were just checking up on me. I spoke to both. I appreciate it. They are great friends to have.
The best part of the day was finding a CD burned for my mother 5 years ago. It contained photos from the trip we made to Alabama. The disc is starting to rot.
However, I was able to recover many photos. The camera Patsy had was good for the time, but compared to today, it sucks. The photos aren't the best. However, I found 3 with my mother. One is of her with just me. It wasn't the best of either one of us. However, it's got us together.
Another one is the 2 of us with Nancy. The third was one you could clearly tell I took. It was the best of the 3. It was Nancy, my mother, and Patsy. I was so happy to find them. Joey called me again as I found the photos. I wasn't in the mood to talk to him because I was so preoccupied with these photos. I was so thrilled to find them.
However, I did send Lindsey and Joey one of the photos I found. I wanted them to see how long my hair was back then. I still look the same in a way, but at the same time, I am not the same. I'm 20 pounds lighter and my hair isn't that long. In fact, I need a hair cut soon. It's at the perfect length. It's long enough to be long, but short enough to be manageable for me.
