I am stressed out. I let out this huge shrieking scream when Nicki said she didn't know how to order a pizza online.
It's not that she doesn't know how to do it; it's that she relies on my login information instead of getting her own. It crap like this that scares the hell out of me. How am I to get my own life when I am constantly taking care of everyone in this house? I'm stressed about classes. I'm stressed about money. I'm stressed about graduation. And I have to stop my life to order a pizza online because my sister can't! It's one of those nights I wish I had my mother around to hug me and listen to me vent. She would be much more understanding about my stress than my father.
I was going to go off tonight, but that fell through. That's the story of my life. Nearly every time I have a chance to actually hang out with a guy, it falls through.
It's annoying, but I'm taking it well. I decided to devote my time to working on my Senior Project report. The draft for that is due Wednesday. It's crap, but it's my crap. It's about 50 pages, without the 70 page appendix I need to attach to it. After three hours of work on it, I've had enough for today. I'll get it complete by Tuesday night. I'll have it printed on Wednesday morning. At this point in my life, graduation is much more important than a social life. I can have a social life once I get out of school.
I solved my problem for my Vista laptop not connecting to the Internet via a wireless network. The Cat 5 cable connection would work, but not the wireless connection For some reason, my TCP/IPv4 properties on my compjuter were set to having an IP address assigned to me, instead of it having an IP address assigned to it via the router or network.
Once I changed the settings, my computer was able to connect to my wireless network.
I feel dumb, but proud of myself at the same time. Now, if I can figure out why my mt-xmlrpc.cgi on my server won't work and fix that problem, I'd be even happier.

I haven't had one in a while. Today is a day off, of sorts. Joey called me at 10 this morning for a ride out to campus. I was in bed. I had to get up and shower before going out to his place. It wasn't too much of a hassle. I had to get and shower anyway. I had an appointment at the optometrist today.
The optometrist was expensive, but it had to be done. I got a new prescription for contacts, as well as ordered a new pair of glasses. I haven't had a new pair in 5½ years. I got a discount with my car insurance, but it still cost me nearly $400.00 for everything. I can't wait to get a job so I get insurance for the doctors' visits and dental appointments.
We were assigned our group projects for E-Commerce yesterday. Because no one else would step up and be the leader of the group, I became the group leader. I hate being group leader. I'm not sure how to break down the work. Some of the people in my group are in Senior Project, as well as in a group with Joey for another class. He warned me about them last night. I'll have to keep an eye out for that. At least the other graduating senior in the E-Commerce is in our group. I think the two of us can stress the importance of this project to them.
Well, I need to work on my Vista computer. It's not connecting to the Internet via wireless.
From the research I did, it's an OS problem. Plus, my Chicago 16 CD is here. Need to add that to my iPod. ![]()

Onesome: The Dentist?-- ...a bigger 'scary factor' than than flying? What do you think? I never really had a problem going to the dentist. My big fear was the evil witch that like to get physically violent with me when it came to getting x-rays of my teeth. That woman would jar the wing bites into my mouth. And then the witch would get hateful over me crying over the whole ordeal. She called me an evil child. Well, she also had problems with Nicki, too. Eventually, my mother told the dental clinic to keep that woman away from us. After a new lady started to take our x-rays, I had no problems with getting x-rays.
Twosome: or-- maybe you have coping skills to handle dental visits? Would you care to share any of them? As a child, I behaved to get the goodies at the end. As an adult, I remember f I just keep cool and let them get the work done, I'll be out sooner than I if I fight. All the dental work I had as a child and the 2½ years of braces taught me this.
Threesome: Flying-- has received a really bad rap this year. Deserved? ...or is all sweetness and light now? I haven't had a problem flying, yet. All my delays have been because the plane got to the destination before scheduled time. ![]()

At the moment, I am on my desktop. Neither my father's laptop, nor my laptop, will connect to the router.
I've tried thrice to reset the router, but no luck, Plus, Nicki's attitude about getting disconnected from her game is pissing me off.
Yesterday's exam was horrible! I wasn't the only one that hated it.
Seems the person that organized the exam did not expect 150 or so seniors to jump on the chance for taking the exam early. They were about 30 tests short. Some people were turned away. Others volunteered to take it later when they wanted to take it. Most of the people I know that are graduating this semester took it yesterday.
I got my E-Commerce paper finished today. It sucks, but it's done. I spent time in the Writing Center yesterday and today working on it. I ended up meeting with this kid, Joseph, to explain the concept of the paper to him. I've know Joseph for 3 years now. I first met him in the Writing Center when I was a tutor. In the years since, we've both been active in Wesley Foundation and ACM. In fact, he and his brother just went on the trip this weekend.
I ended up going to lunch with Joey and Wes today. We went and had Mexican. And like we did Friday at dinner with Welsey Foundation, we got into a Spaceballs quotes conversation. On the way, Joey placed his bag in my trunk and saw Yahtzee in it. I bought it and took it on the trip for my digital photography assignment. After Senior Project, Joey, Mumbles, and I ended up playing the game. The scores were Mumbles: 204, Joey: 246, and me: 305.
When staying at my Grandmother's house as a child, one of the games my mom would play with me and Nicki happened to be Yahtzee. I developed strategies to play as young as 8. They came in handy today.
I got a few more assignments given to me for digital photography class today. As I was taking Joey home, I explained what I had to do. He had a great idea come up. We stopped at a pool hall to try it. The photos didn't come out well, but they gave me an idea. I'm going to try to build on it tomorrow, if I can. There is a pool table in Compass Point at Armstrong.

Today, someone was helping me with a paper I had to write. Yes, I know it was help. Yes, it was to make my paper better. Yet, I was having trouble grasping the concept of the idea discussed. I know the person just wants me to do the best I can on the paper. The person must believe I can do things, or else he wouldn't be pushing me so hard on the things he has pushed me into doing..
However, as the days wind down in the semester, and the closer I get to graduation, the closer I get to my breaking point. I know I'm going to have a nervous breakdown before December 8th. I just don't know when it will be. I just feel so lost. Today, I have my university exit exam. I'll be spending 3 hours in a classroom taking a test. And I have to spend the whole time in the room.
So, after completing the exam, I will have time to myself to think and go crazy.
I wish I could just escape and play. I wish I could just be in someone's arms and cry. I wish I wasn't about to break.

Okay, so I'm not number one! However, I have made vast improvement in golf class. We had a skills test today. I got 3 over par on the bump and run section. I got a 92 and the pitch and run and an 87 on my short iron. However, the professor remarked that he could tell I have been working on the game. The past 2 weeks working on my golf game with Joey paid off. As a token of appreciation, I got Joey a Braves golf ball up at Turner Field. He was glad to get it. ![]()
After golf class, I went to Wesley lunch. Melissa, Jessie, and Erin were in the room when I got there. Their reactions when they saw me! I looked like crap. And this was after 2 wipedowns with baby wipes and washing my face in the bathroom. My hair was a wreck. I didn't have a chance to brush it. Melissa immediately reached over and offered me a bottle of water.
I got together with Lindsey after lunch to talk. I had to vent about some of the guys from the trip, and with them being at lunch, I couldn't do it. So, we did it after lunch. And after talking with her, I tried to work on my E-Commerce paper, but couldn't. I got distracted by some other IT majors. At one point, a group taking Ethics, from the same professor I had, asked me to go over their assignment.
My photography class was fine. We did an exercise on Adobe Bridge. We also went over our aperture assignment. The professor could see the difference in the depth of field in the 2 shots. After class, I had an hour downtime to myself before spending about half an hour with Joey working on my golf.
Well, back to the Titans game!

I am home from my much needed adventure.
This weekend, a few of us from the Wesley Foundation went up to north Georgia and extreme Southeast Tennessee for white water rafting and an Atlanta Braves game. I was the only chick from the group to go, other than our minister, Melissa. We went up on Friday afternoon/night and got into Copperhill, TN around 10 PM. We stayed at the campgrounds of Whitewater Express. This was the company that Melissa uses for trips up in the area. This picture is of the group dining at Cracker Barrel Friday night. Yes, I'm the only girl of the group! I didn't let my gender stop me from having fun. The cabin we were assigned, due to our bus, was a cabin that had 6 rooms and could fit 96 people. We all slept upstairs. The guys took the big room with the windows; Melissa and I took the smaller room with the power outlets. I think the guys were more excited of the space than Melissa and I were.
Saturday morning was spent on the Ocoee River. We did the middle course, not the upper course. There were a few beginners, like me, rafting for the first time. I ended up not paddling at all because I volunteered to be the odd man out. I just sat in the raft and soaked in the scenery, and the water. Every time the leads got splashed, being directly behind them in a diagonal meant I got wet, too. It was such a shame I couldn't have a waterproof camera with me.
The weather was perfect for the trip! The water temperature was fine. And the water flow itself was great. I will have to do it again!
And yes, I'll do paddling next time. If you have a chance to ever get up this this part of the US, do it! I want to go back just to photograph the Olympic kayaking venue that's in the area.
Our rafting time ended just in time for us to get on the bus and make it down to Atlanta for the baseball game. The Braves played the Milwaukee Brewers at Turner Field. The game was to be originally at 7 PM, but with the game having playoff implications for the Brewers, FOX chose to broadcast the game. Again, weather was perfect. It wasn't too hot; it wasn't too cold. The game lasted 11 innings, with the Braves winning it with a Mark Texiera hit. Those that stayed the whole made the crowd electric! While I was up there, I got Nicki a Brian McCann shirt.
We ended up staying last night at the Georgia Tech Wesley house. We had breakfast and worship there this morning. The GT minister recognized me. He doesn't know my name, but he knows I'm in the Savannah group and has been to the last 3 GWSM retreats. I told him I graduate in December. This trip was a little bittersweet being the last one I'll take of this kind. After worship, we got on the road and had lunch at Steak 'N' Shake in Macon. Matt and I just wanted some, since it's not in Savannah. The other guys weren't too excited about it at first, but we were able to convince Patrick, best known as Ramocleas the Shafted, that yes, this burger at Steak 'N' Shake was worth the stop.
Pictures from this weekend can be found in my Fall 2007 Wesley Trip Flickr set.
