The Thursday Threesome: Details, Details, Details…

Thursday Threesome:

Onesome: "Details--are everything!", or so it is said. Are a you (FTFY. /Sorry. Pet Peeve.*) a details person? ...or a big picture person? I'm trying to break away from being a details person and try to be a big picture person. *Smile*

Twosome: Details-- (in the military definition) can be a royal pain: what routine detail at your job/school/home would you cheerfully off-load to someone else? Driving! *Laughing* No, really. When hanging out with my siblings, if I can get one of them to drive, I will. And when I'm hanging out with Joey, I'll give him the keys to my car and have him drive. When going off with Lindsey, I'm happy if she does the driving.

Threesome: Details-- and devils: what are you willing to work on nearly endlessly until you "get it right"? School work. However, this semester, I am suffering from Senioritis. I don't care anymore! Just give me that degree! *Smile*

*Bonus points if you get that. *Smile*

In other news, I got Chicago 17 last night. I'm liking it. It's so 1984 pop! It's like I'm 5 again. *Laughing* And it's not all Peter Cetera on the album. Robert Lamm and Bill Champlin have quite a bit of vocals on the album. In fact, I'm enjoying their songs on the album more than Peter's songs.t

Today, I went off with Joey and Lindsey at different times today. I had Joey take me to the mall to get a Swiss Army knife. This was not my idea. My dad wanted me to get the knife. I would have done the shopping with my dad, but our schedules are so out of wack, I took the next guy I could trust with me to get a knife. And after dropping Joey off for work, I took Lindsey to Olive Garden. Boy, is it great to have friends to hang out with and talk with. *Smile*

Tonight, after class, I'm going to attend the school's production of How I Learned to Drive. Tonight's the only night I can see it. It sounded interesting. It's adult in nature. Tomorrow, I have to pack for my North Georgia trip before leaving. Our plans for that trip had to be altered because Fox is airing the game on TV. I am not happy about that. *Frown* Well, I still hope it's fun.

Grrr!

Seems my host moved my site to a different server, again! As a result, I couldn't use MT. I even did a clean install in a new directory, and it still didn't work. I keep getting a Got an error: Error opening file '/mt-config.cgi': No such file or directory error *Ranting*

Finally, a Google search brought me to this solution: Mt-config.cgi Missing?

So, if this entry publishes, it's working. I have to hack web programs to make them work because the server change breaks something in the code of the program.

"At The Time, You Couldn't Tell Me / If One Day I'd Be Glad / That Something That I Thought Was Love / Was Misinterpreted"

If you haven't been able to tell, I have gotten into Chicago. I heard "Along Comes A Woman" on some Internet radio station this summer and just had to start listening. My Chicago collection is 2 albums, Chicago Transit Authority and Chicago II, as well as compilation albums The Very Best Of Chicago - Only The Beginning and Chicago Greatest Hits 1982-1989. Tomorrow, I'm getting Chicago 17. I also have 2 Peter Cetera solo albums, Solitude/Solitaire and World Falling Down. Yeah, you can say I'm hooked.

However, the one Chicago song that's running in my mind at the moment is not from Peter Cetera era Chicago. It's actually from the Jason Scheff era. It's "If She Would Have Been Faithful…." Now, I don't know who I'm going to marry. I don't even have a boyfriend at the moment. However, as time has passed in my life, I'm getting a better clue of what real love is, as compared to infatuation. Looking back, this song does a good job of expressing the feelings of analyzing and past and the present.

Today, my Meteorology class didn't meet. *Detective Work* Our professor just didn't show up. He didn't e-mail us about class being canceled, either. Robert and I had our laptops up and running. So, during the 10 minutes the class was waiting on the professor, some members of the class kept yelling up and over to Robert and me to check our e-mails in case he did e-mail us. I did, as well as looked up any weather events that were going on nearby that the professor had to watch for his other job. After the allotted 10 minute wait, students just started leaving. Some other students came back to tell us the department head said we could leave.

E-Commerce was not too boring. We started group presentations in it. There was this one guy in class that got the highest score. The professor had him tell us his studying technique. *Rolling My Eyes* I did the same, except read the book, and I was a few points behind him. However, that's not what pissed a few of us off. During the presentation, he brought up a security issue and just wouldn't drop it. He was challenging the presenters! The idea he brought up just wasn't feasible for e-commerce. Sadly, in the chance to share information amongst others on the Internet, something's bound to be vulnerable. The rest of the class kept telling him why his idea wouldn't work and systems that aren't the same, but darn near bring a similar approach to them. He just wasn't listening to us. The chick behind me, the one that once had me having a panic attack a-la-Lisa Simpson style, was huffing and groaning when the guy won't stop. I could only agree with her. *Laughing*

During my time between classes, I went to the mall. I bought batteries for my camera for my trip this weekend, as well as clothes for this weekend. I got some nylon clothes meant fo fishing to wear for rafting. I also got some sandals. My dad told me to get clothing suitable for this trip. He wants me to have the right gear for it. I already have the right gear for a baseball game. *Smile* I also spent time at the mall doing some research for my E-Commerce paper, as well as writing part of it on campus. And when classes were finished for the day, Joey and I worked on my golf game. He could see an improvement in my game. However, I'm still thinking when I swing at the ball. At least I made some divets. *Smile* I couldn't do that last week. I think my work with Derrick yesterday did me some good.

"Even If Heaven and Earth Collide Tonight"

I'm actually having a life now. *Laughing*

Friday night was spent with Joey at a bar. Now for those that know me, I don't do bars. However, he asked that I come hang out, so I did. It was a karaoke bar. I wasn't too comfortable there. I only felt in my skin when I focused on the baseball game that was airing on the TV there. Joey was drunk by the time I left him at midnight. I figured he was okay at the new bar I dropped him off at. Bars just aren't my thing. He asked me today how did I feel there. I guess before he got loaded, he could tell I wasn't comfortable.

Saturday afternoon was spent at Tybee just playing with my camera. I got excellent photos on my shutter setting photography assignment. I'm having trouble with my aperture assignment. I showed the professor what I attempted, knowing they weren't going to do for the assignment. He said he liked the effect I was going for. I'll publicize them on Flickr as soon as I turn in the assignment.

Sunday was spent watching my Titans lose. *Frown* But, they didn't go down without a fight!

This morning was golf class. The professor has us do some drills with the wedge. After drills, he had Derrick take me onto the links and work on holes 10 and 9 on the course. Derrick was vey helpful. It was fun to actually get on the course and not practice on the range. Derrick said I did well for a beginner. *Smile* I spent some time myself after classes were over to work with the wedge in rough conditions.

Wesley lunch was interesting. Jessie wasn't there. *Frown* I missed her. Melissa read us The Old Turtle. It's a once a year thing, so if you miss it, you miss it. This book is her gift to parting seniors, so I get a copy in December! *Smile*

This weekend, I will be out of town. The Wesley Foundation is going back to Atlanta to make up our Braves game. We're also going white water rafting. I'm going to have to get gear for that. Today, I also signed up for the ropes course we're doing next month, as well as next month's dinner. Looks like ACM won't have me for on day next month. Oh well. Dinner with my friends or a gory movie with the others. Dinner over gore any day!
