Sometimes, I don't think I'm going to meet the one. I also know I'm not willing to take a gamble. I think being a military brat has screwed me over. I don't know who to trust. I fear someone is going to leave me. What's here today won't be here tomorrow. I guess this is why I'm afraid of taking a chance.
Yeah, I'm also pancking about my future prospects once I'm out of school. Am I going to get a job? Will I have to move?
I think the closer I get to graduation, the more I'll panic.

The weather's so nice. It's just the season for nice, simple fun and love. This song just seems to go with the flow.
However, I think the song that will probably define the relationship for me is "Good For Me," also by Amy Grant.
And today, when my dad and I were out taking my car around town, "Breakaway" by Kelly Clarkson came on. My dad called it my song. He said everytime he hears it, he thinks of me. And yes, my car is fixed. The next step is to learn how to drive it. Until then, my dad has a nice little red sporty sedan to drive. ![]()

One of my favorite Céline Dion songs is "Quelqu'un Que J'aime, Quelqu'un Qui 'Maime." Yeah, it describes how I feel at times. However, I'll spare you the details.
The past 2 days have been busy for me. Yesterday was spent in class and being active. Prior to class, I stopped and watched part of the school's baseball game against Saint Joseph's College of Indiana Pumas. I saw all the offensive needed. I saw our player hit a home run for the first run of the game. We ended up winning the game with a score of 7-0.
Classes were okay. I'm so glad I'm on Spring Break now. The weather is so nice; being in a classroom is torture.
I'm excited about Daylight Savings Time starting this weekend. I could use the extra daylight.
This photo is of the ACM members that went bowling last night, save one member and our faculty adviser. It was a good time by all. I ended up on a lane with Wesley, Mathew, and Joey. Damn, Joey kicked my ass. He got one turkey and came close to getting a few more. However, I didn't do horribly.
In the 3½ games played, I got 6 strikes and a few spares. I also got a few gutter balls as well. The guys on my lanes and I chipper in and shared a pizza. Aric, Aaron, Chris, and Jeremy also did well with their scores. Aric was hitting his stride just as the rest of us lost ours.
Today was spent at school. I had a group meeting for my Ethics presentation on Internet Fraud. I also had a test for Graphics Design. In between, I headed over to Grayson Stadium and watched the game between Davis & Elkins and SIU Edwardsville. I didn't catch the whole game, but SIUE won it 13-1. The D&E pitcher has the nickname Nasty. He has nasty all right. He just couldn't throw the ball. I saw his warm ups. He kept missing the catcher and the plate.
I'll guess I'll shut up and answer the Thursday Threesome:
Onesome: Looking-- all around today: what landmark or scene do you look for each morning on the way to work or school or wherever? Is there something on the way you look forward to seeing? ...or do you have something that lets you know you're close and it's time to shift mental gears? Lake Mayer. The ducks entertain me on my way to school. Seeing it means I'm just a song away from home after schools.
Twosome: for-- your typical lunchtime what do you see? ...a cafeteria? ...classroom? ...office? ...home? ...the surf in Hawai'i? I don't have a typical lunch, except when I eat at Wesley lunch or ACM meetings. Then, it's a classroom.
Threesome: some direction--? Okay, if you go out your front door, which direction are you facing? ...or do you use the front door? Hmmm... I use the side door, but if I go out the front door, I'm facing north. ![]()

This picture was shot today using my 3x lens. I like how it came out. I think I figured out how to take detailed photos of flowers.
I went to the Goodwill today to donate a crib. It's a crib my mother bought for Tricia prior to my mother's death. The Goodwill wouldn't take it. The guy gave me no reason. Sadly, "Beggers can't be choosers" came to my mind. At most the crib needed was a new mattress. Still, they could have sold the crib cheaply and made some money for others. Any bit helps. However, it just wasn't good enough. What do they want? I can't afford a new crib to just donate. Oh well, not my problem.
I had my Theater exam. I didn't do to hot on it, but I don't care. I just want 540 points in that class. That's an A. I did attempt the extra credit questions and got them. One was about where did a farmer get eggs if he didn't have a chicken. The professor wanted duck, but I put down alligator.
I am a smartass. He couldn't dispute the answer. Prior to the exam, someone mentioned their Psych class and the professor they had. It was the one I had 3 years ago. I shouted out about good ole rat sex at the name! The Psych professor works with rats and brought up rat sex in class quite a bit. The Theater class broke out in laughter. The other students that have had the Psych professor backed me up. The Theater professor then joked about a bonus question on rat sex on the exam.
On my way home from school, I stopped at Lowe's to get some new paint for my room. I am sick of this navy blue that was of my brother's from years ago. I want something that says "Shawn:" pink. I also checked up on my living room flooring. They delayed my shipment until my dad's shipment was ready. We should get the rest of the flooring next week. Slowly, we'll get this house done.

At Wesley lunch, a couple of old faces came back today. One was Sheronda, who hasn't been able to come due to clinicals in her field. It was good to see her again.
The other was Ryan, who has been seen in over year. He took a semester off and came back to campus today to start the process to return. Jessie and Lindsey didn't know who Ryan was. I explained he's a old timer. I originally met Ryan 4 years ago in Pre-Calculus class. Has it been that long? He's already thinking of going on the Atlanta trip next month and our monthly dinner-get-together this month. The more, the merrier.
I had my department exit exam today. Some of those questions were tough. It's been a couple of years since I took Operating Systems and I hated System Analysis. Only 6 people took the exam. It doesn't count for a grade, so I feel better. Ethics class was okay. I was falling asleep in it. Since I developed the Crud, I have been in and out of it with my sinuses and medications. I'm in the group of 4 for the presentations. One group had to take a 4th person. The guys in my group wanted me. I've got a reputation in the department. It's not a bad one. I'm not the department slut.
I'm just a very studious person with good grades. The others in the department knows I try. I hope all my work pays off. I'd like to get the 2008 Outstanding IT student award.
That's about it for now. I need to read up on resistors and inductors

Yesterday, I spent most of my day out at Armstrong. The morning was spent helping with the high school Math Tournament hosted by my school. Students from all over Georgia and South Carolina competed in this event. one of the school car's had "Kiss My Asymptote" written on the window.
I assisted my Graphics Design professor proctor a JV room of students. Some of those questions asked of these kids were hard. One question was Calculus. After that question was given and none of them got it, I told them it was Calculus. That made them feel somewhat better. Late in my turn at the tournament, I helped Chris set up the Quiz Bowl table outside of the auditorium that would be hosting the awards ceremony. He asked me a favorite question of mine.
I answered it truthfully: disappointed. Oh well, it time, people will stop asking me that question at school.
My afternoon was spent at the baseball field. My Armstrong Atlantic State University Pirates were hosting the Francis Marion University Patriots. I ended up sitting near one of my IT classmates who was also at the game. I took my camera and practiced taking shots of a a game on the sidelines, with netting and fencing in my view path. The Pirated defeated the Patriots, 3-2, in 11 innings. We won on a major error by the Patriots, allowing our runner on the base paths to score. More college baseball will be held throughout the week at Armstrong with the 2007 Savannah Invitational. Several school from across the nation are in town for the event. I might go to the Friday morning game at Grayson Stadium. It will be SIU Edwardsville vs. St. Joseph's of Indiana. Seems like an interesting way to spend Spring Break. It's beautiful weather in town to watch some baseball.
My sinuses have been going off, making me take stuff to make myself feel better. The medicine is also making my sleepy. I hope today is the last day for me to suffer. I want to enjoy Spring Break. It will also be St. Patrick's Day weekend here.
