Today Was A Beautiful Day.

Gator
Uploaded by peachy92.

I spent most of it outside today. First, Matthew and I went out to the Savannah National Wildlife Refuge. We saw at least 8 different gators and plenty of turtles and birds. It must be bird watching season at the Refuge. And at one point, a group of 20 people pulled up and got out of their cars, we think, to paint. Most of the cars I saw there were NOT from Georgia or South Carolina.

This big boy in the photo was the last gator we saw.

After the trip to the Refuge, we went over to Lake Mayer. I had gone there yesterday to take some photos. Plenty of wildlife there as well. Geese, mallard ducks, seagulls, Muscovy ducks, and even a bunny. I felt for the poor little bunny. *Crying* I honestly think someone abandoned the bunny there at the park. I think he's taken care of by virtue of seeing a bowl for food near the place I saw the bunny. I really wanted to bring it home, but we have enough pets. Plus, he hopped away from me.

Beth and Ben came with us to Lake Mayer, so we had a snack and fed some birds. I felt like a 10-year-old again.

If you like birds or know birds, please check out my Bird collection. I would love to know the name of some of the birds I have seen over time.

The Thursday Threesome: Coffee in my Lap

Thursday Threesome:

Onesome: Coffee--? ...or no? Black? Starbucks Cinnamon Dolce? Homeground beans (that you roasted)? Tea? Green? No? Water? What is your "sip of choice" right now? Water. Lots and Lots of water.

Twosome: "In my-- wildest dreams there's no way I would ever even consider _______!" Bungie jumping

Threesome: Lap--top or desktop? Which is your choice for hanging around on the net? ...or your choice if you had one? I'm on a desktop and my father's laptop. My laptop needs to be repaired.

I slept in late today since I had a horrible dream. It dealt with my mother and me backing her van up into our carport, backing it too far into another car and our chimney. And in the dream, I lost 2 days of my life I couldn't recall. It was depressing.

I got a 100 on my Detailed Project Report for Senior Project. I don't think any of the guys in my section did as well. I will probably be the only woman graduating in the IT department next fall. I also had to turn down a student worker position for making graphics since I am too busy. Seems I was the first person to come to mind for the job. I've been running around so much, my resistance is down. I have a damn cold sore and my face has broken out. *Frown* Thankfully, today's my last day of school for the week. *Smile*

Waiting on Pizza

On my way home from school today, I saw my brother walking back to work from a stop at Walgreens. He gave me a bad of Mini-Eggs. *Yum!* Sadly, they were dark chocolate. I don't know if he meant to get the dark or milk eggs. He also told me he had a bad day and wanted some meat. I think a Pepperoni Lover's pizza will satisfy him.

For those that don't know, today is Shrove Tuesday. I won't be able to get my ashes tomorrow, since I'll be in class. However, White Bluff United Methodist Church had a pancake night. I stopped by and grabbed a cake. The few members of the church I spoke to was glad to see someone my age at the church. The Methodist church is losing members in my age group, it seems. If only I had the time and the energy to attend service other than holidays or with Wesley events.

Most of my day today was spent working on getting my car into my name. I went to the tag office today to transfer the Focus's title into my name. I also had to pay the back taxes on the car that Nicki never paid. It cost me less than I was expecting. My dad was happy to hear the car is legally tagged. At the moment, only he can drive it. I need to learn how to drive a manual transmission powered car (among other things). So, now there are enough vehicles for all the drivers. After getting the tag completed, we both went to the locksmith and got him a key and a remote for the car. The young one working on my car was good looking.

Speaking of good looking, here's an article on Barry Zito getting into Greco-Roman wrestling.

Not Much

Savannah NWR

I'm blogged out at the moment. Above, is a picture from the Savannah National Wildlife Refuge I visited on Saturday. Yesterday, I watched the Daytona 500 with my dad. Martin should have won. Today, I attended another Wesley lunch. Personally, I'm mentally worn out. Off to veg on some TV.
