I spent most of my day in Glynn County, touring St. Simons and Jekyll Islands. Tomorrow, I'm going back to St. Simons for the retreat. Photos are up on on Flickr and PIXels.
I'm very tired. Once I get home from the trip, I have some school work to get done. It's a lot, but it has to be done.
Onesome: Pitch-- What is your singing range? ...and do you sing at Onesome: Pitch-- What is your singing range? ...and do you sing at all? Laurie, you're leading off here <g>! I sing for pleasure, not for money. I can't sing well. My voice isn't bad, but I'd never make it on American Idol
Twosome: Yaw--'ll ken that one? Do you have any 'dialect words' that you use as a matter of course? "Ken", meaning "to understand" (Scottish and other derivations) in this case... Ya'll is common here. If there are others, I can't think off hand of them.
Threesome: and Roll-- on down the road? Hey, if the roads were as icy as they've been in the Midwest and East would driving to work even be a consideration for you? I live in the south. It was 70°F in Glynn County! Any sign of ice or snow shuts us down ASAP.

I left for school early today. I don't have class until 4:30 and 6. At 6, I'll be working on my paint program for Graphics Design. In theater today, I have a short test on the play, Everyman, and I have to present, with a partner, a scene we re-wrote in today's language. We gave our scene a comedic twist.
So, prior to getting out here on campus, I made a few stops. My first stop was at the bank to deposit a check. I placed it in my savings account. I just thought that would be better for me, financially.
I stopped at Target, next. I found a purple 4-piece luggage set for $40.00 there. I bought it. I could use it for the next few trips I'll be taking with the Wesley Foundation. In addition to the one this weekend, we're taking a trip to Atlanta in April, and I'm probably going to Tacoma in May. I'm still not sue what the April plans are. We're going to the King Center, for sure. The other event is either going to a Braves game or the Georgia Aquarium. In addition to the luggage, I got a new book bag for carry-on usage at the airport. Last year, I could have used a book bag in Michigan. It would have save me some trouble in carrying my luggage, my laptop, and my carry-on bag. This will free up my shoulders and hands some what. The bag is also purple. The other big item I bought was some fire forks for marshmellow roasting. The past 2 years, we've had to find sticks at the retreat. I'm saving myself that trouble and a few other people, too.
As for school work, I just worked a bit on developing a small database for a church to use. It's a requirement of my Senior Project. It didn't take me too long to develop it. And I'm pretty sure it's in third normal form. I'm using ID numbers as links in between tables. All I have to do is draw some sketches for what I want the site to look like. I can do that with no problem. ![]()

working on my Graphics Design lessons for this week. I don't want to attend school on Thursday, so I'm doing it all now. It's 2 lessons in the Dreamweaver book. I need to learn more about Dreamweaver.
Today's been a busy day. I had Ethics class and did some work on my Senior Project. It looks like crap, but it's a start. I have a 10 page report due on the 14th, the same day I have an Ethics presentation. I'm not going to worry too much about it. I need to develop a database for the project. It won't go in the live version, but I need something for the class assignment. I'm thinking a database with church members and what church groups they are a member. From the database on group memberships, a person can log in and send an e-mail to those members. I just need something to think of something to turn in. I can do most of the database work in the summer.
Welsey lunch was busy today. I think that's the most people I've seen attend it since my first semester. We watched a video as today's sermon. It was a comedian. The sermon was mainly about laughing and enjoying laughter. We also discussed the final stuff about this weekend's retreat. We Armstrong students are doing a ropes course during our free time on Saturday. We'll be doing the Low Elements course. I'm leaving for a fun weekend on Thursday. Prior to the retreat, a friend and I are going to St. Simons to do some stuff we won't have time to do during the retreat.
It's just going to be a busy week. After the 15th, things shold calm down and I'll be back to track to dedicate myself to school work, especially my Senior Project.
And congrats to Barb for the birth of Michaela Janelle!
