I should have worked on my Ethics paper. Instead, I went to Tybee Island to take pictures of the Turtle Tour. There are 21 turtles on the tour; I found 19. "You Look Out for Me and I’ll Look Out for You" and "Tybee Faces" were out at the Turtle Hospital. I have pictures of "You Look Out…," but not "Tybee Faces." Maybe next time I take my camera out to Tybee, she'll be there. The turtles are all over the island.
Last night, we Wesley folks got together again for dinner at Melissa's. It was fun. Melissa served homemade vegetable beef soup and salad. Desert was made of brownies and ice cream. The game with played this time was Phase 10. I can't recall the last time I played it. I ended up winning to game.
The cards just played in my favor. Jessie was not happy I was playing so well. She spent her first skip card on me. Oh well. I was risky once. I had a wild card. I placed it into the discard pile. Chris picked it up. My gamble won. I lost the hand, but didn't get stuck with the 25 points the wild card would have given me. Chris had a wild card of his own, so on 2 cards, he had 50 points. I was cold playing that game. Another time, I skipped another player in hopes of winning the round. That paid off, as well.
Nancy e-mailed me last night to see if I was okay. I responded that I was busy. The next few weeks are going to be busy. Once the retreat weekend is over, things should slow down for me. Always something! ![]()

No, it's not me. Becky of Grrl Meets World had a little girl today. The announcement was made on Becky's mother's site. And that's not the only baby I'm waiting to hear about. My Richard Marx pal, Barb, is expecting to give birth to her little girl any day now. As for me, no telling when I'll have kids. Just not this year. I've got to get out of school, first. Kids will come when I'm ready for kids.
Now, I am working on getting out of school. I'm working on my penultimate semester. I met with the professor I needed to meet with to start my senior project. Also, I did some research for my Ethics paper I have to write this weekend. While I was on campus today, another IT student, who's a few semesters behind me in work, found me and placed his abstract in my face. He asked me opinion on the abstract. I told him the truth: he needed some commas. The scary thing was that he went to the Writing Center, and no one he showed it to was able to catch the lack of commas. I know I can screw up commas on this blog, and some other things, but I'm quick to find comma locations on my school papers. I also printed out a few Bob the Angry Flower strips for my Ethics professor. Yesterday in class, she had us go over its versus it's.
Speaking of kids, my kitty is here, again. She's needy at the moment. I always made a promise if anything happened to my mother, I would take care of Graysie.
I did get out of showing up for my 6 PM class. I did the work while I was out at the school, and I showed it to the professor before I left. My Theater class didn't meet today. I'll have to read and learn a 20 line monologue this weekend for Theater.
Oh, I have found a replacement car. Anyone want to teach me to drive a manual transmission? The car is my sister's 2002 Ford Focus. It has less than 41,000 miles. It needs some work, but the work and the payoff is less than the money I'll get for my car. I'm not going to be able to find a car in nice condition for the price I can get this one for. It's best for us all. Nicki's been wanting to get rid of the car. I know the history. Now, to learn to drive it.
Okay,my other needy kitty is here, so I'll hold him. ![]()

I don't know how I did it this weekend, but I bit my tongue. It wasn't a small bite. I took out a big chunk. Let's just say it hurts. And do I feel stupid!
I spent most of my day at school. I worked on a paper that's due next Wednesday. It's a 5-10 page paper, single spaced, for Computer Ethics. The interesting article I'm to analyze is The New Vulnerability: Data Security and Personal Information. I got about a page, typed, written today. I guess I will do more this weekend. I'm going to have to write a lot about this topic.
I also spent a few minutes working on my Senior Project. I also had classes today. I had Theater and Graphics Design. I am really liking Dreamweaver. I will need a copy of it. Theater was an ok class. I only have it once this week. On Thursday, I've got a meeting for my Senior Project. As a result, I'm going to work on my Graphics Design work while I'm out there. That way, I can minimize my time on campus. That should give me more time to work on my Ethics paper.
As for family matters, my dad rearranged the living room. He wanted to be able to enjoy his big TV from his recliner. The set up we've had since we've gotten this furniture didn't allow it. So, yesterday, he changed the layout. As a result of this switch, he found some things in the living room. He placed some of these things on the love seat. As I sat on the love seat tonight to watch TV, I found a package of pictures. They were from about Matthew's 18th birthday in 2003. This picture is one. In this photo, it's my parents, Beth, a tiny little Scooter, and an ugly me in the background. Yes, I wasn't always a bombshell people believe me to be!
My hair is super-long in the photo. Looking back, I don't like my hair that long anymore. I prefer it just about an inch over shoulder length. It's still long, but short enough to be manageable. I need another trim. But for the pictures, it was great tofind them. The whole family was together that night. Also, the pictures show babies Scooter, Graysie, and Meroko. They were so tiny!
Okay, off to pout about my throbbing tongue.
