The Thursday Threesome:

Thursday Threesome:

Onesome: Plenty-- of time, take a deep breath. Overnight/Saturday delivery could work for you... So could a trip a few hundred miles away if you're into shopping on Sunday! How are you doing? Do you have it together? Please. Since the accident, I don't know which way I'm coming or going.

Twosome: of-- all the states, I'm hearing the worst reports from Ohio! It has no snow! No snow, no Christmas! What's to be done? Is it looking like the normal Christmas weather there for you? It's 68°F at the moment. No white Christmas for me.

Threesome: Time--Time? Good grief, the 24th is days away, and most men haven't even awakened a sense of urgency as yet <g>. Is anyone done, finished, wrapped and resting? What's Christmas?

Sorry for the humbug stuff. Today was not a good day for me. *Frown*

Christmas Caroling
Uploaded by peachy92.

Christmas carolers came to my house tonight! One of the 3 Baptist churches in my neighborhood does this every year. It looks like such fun. I really need to find my own church.

Well, this post is really the Year in Review post. Here we go:

1. What did you do in 2006 that you'd never done before? Get in a serious car accident!

2. Did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year? I don't make them because I can't keep them.

3. Did anyone close to you give birth? No

4. Did anyone close to you die? Not this year!

5. What countries did you visit? I didn't leave the US, but I did go to Michigan for the first time in my life back in May.

6. What would you like to have in 2007 that you lacked in 2006? The same thing I lacked in 2005, 2004, 2003, 2002… *Laughing* One day, I'll get it.

7. What dates from 2006 will remain etched upon your memory, and why? December 16, 2006. That's the date IJAC died.

8. What was your biggest achievement of the year? Quite a few, believe it or nor. I joined the following honor societies and organizations: Phi Kappa Phi, Omicron Delta Kappa, and Who's Who Among Students. I also got a SMART Grant I wasn't expecting.

9. What was your biggest failure? Not getting a B in Calc? Hey, at least I tried it twice for my C. I've heard stories of multiple attempts (like 5 tries before finally sticking in it for a C)

10. Did you suffer illness or injury? I had the flu and the car accident.

11. What was the best thing you bought? A digital camera. I just happen to have it in my car at the time of the accident. That, in and of itself, paid for the camera.

12. Whose behaviour merited celebration? Mine! *Smile*

13. Whose behaviour made you appalled and depressed? Not my own this year. It was someone else. I won't name names.

14. Where did most of your money go? To live! That, and school related stuff.

15. What did you get really, really, really excited about? The Michigan trip was well worth it!

16. What song will always remind you of 2006? Released in 2005, Amy Grant's "Believe" was my theme song.

17. Compared to this time last year, are you:
happier or sadder? Happier
older and wiser? Yes.
thinner or fatter? The same.
richer or poorer? Richer.

18. What do you wish you'd done more of? Being happy and realizing I'm a great person.

19. What do you wish you'd done less of? Moping over a jackass.

20. How will you be spending Christmas? Working the Mysterious Santa, then spending the rest of the time with family.

21. Question #21 must have fallen into a crevasse on Mt. Everest.

22. Did you fall in love in 2006? Yes. She's about a foot tall and loves my father, but Harri is a cool cat. *Smile*

23. How many one-night stands? Life isn't all about one-night stands.

24. What was your favorite TV program? CSI & Cold Case are my must watch faves.

25. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year? I don't hate anyone. Some people may believe I hate them or someone else, but I don't. I just try to live my life and keep the hate out of my life.

26. What was the best book you read? I didn't have a chance to read a novel this year. It wasn't from lack of trying, but time.

27. What was your greatest musical discovery? Train's For Me It's You is awesome. Now, to get their eponymous album.

28. What did you want and get? Fun!

29. What did you want and not get? A true, simple love. Maybe after I finish with school. School is first.

30. What was your favorite film of this year? Superman Returns

31. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you? I turned 28. I STILL haven't celebrated it, yet!

32. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying? Having plenty of friends to hang out with!

33. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2006? "The same as it ever was."

34. What kept you sane? Crying.

35. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most? Duh! The Barrito! Taco

36. What political issue stirred you the most? I'm not sure how I feel on this illegal immigrant issue.

37. Who did you miss? The usuals. Pumpkin, my mother, to name a few.

38. Who was the best new person you met? My Wesley pals, like Lindsey, Leslie, Ashlee, and Sheronda!

39. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2006: People may come and go. They may love you or hate you. Don't let their thoughts and feelings get you down. As Aaliyah sang, "If at first you don't succeed / Dust yourself off and try again / You can dust it off and try again"

40. Quote a song lyric that sums up your year: Not a song lyric, but I love this quote: "Life is a process of discovering yourself, your purpose and what really matters. Nobody can do it for you - you can't do it for anybody else." - Amy Grant

I Am Lucky.

Today, I went to the shop that has my car, to get a few things out. I finally saw it in person. The damage to my car is horrible. I had trouble opening the driver's side door to get into it. It's probably going to be totaled. *Frown* I've spoken to the insurance companies, both mine and the other driver's. All I know for certain, at the moment, is I hurt like hell. I'm going to the doctor's office tomorrow for after-emergency care.

This accident is consuming my thoughts at the moment. However, I'm just not able to blog much more about it. I don't know how long this will go. I wish you could see the pictures of my front end. Maybe one day.

At least Christmas is soon, and once I feel better, I can go back to doing things, like my photo hobby, and other stuff. Saturday, I have plans to attend a party. It's for a family friend, on a farm. It sounds like fun and a great opportunity for photos. It will be something to get my mind off this accident. This party has been planned for a while. Looks like my dad will have to take me.

While I was leaving the shop that has my car, to come home, I paid more attention to the drivers out there. I swore I saw one guy floss his teeth as he was going 40 down the road. Yes, floss his teeth. Another woman decided to perform a U-turn in the same road. That would been fine and dandy, except Montgomery Crossroad is a 5 lane road: 2 lanes in each direction, with a center turning lane. It's just dangerous and stupid to perform a U-turn on that type of road. Now I understand why my mother was such a defensive driver.

IJAC's Dead.

I just know it. I got my camera back late yesterday afternoon. Nicki and I are lucky to have survived. It could have been a lot worst than it was. Looking at the pictures of my car, it's got to be totaled. My whole front left quarter panel is destroyed. This week is going to be devoted to handling this accident and the paperwork. Not how I expected to spend my Christmas break.

In other news, I will no longer be using my Textamerica Moblog. *Frown* They are requiring you to pay for the service. Not that that's a big deal. I'm willing to pay for the service. It's the just price and the time paid for by the price that is outrageous! Here's what it is:

TA Premium $99.99 for service until November 30, 2007
Includes 5 moblogs and up to 5000 photos and/or videos each and access to the Textamerica comment lounge and community pages.
Service ends on November 30, 2007.
A hundred bucks for not even a year's worth of service? What if I don't want 5 moblogs? I just need one. Well, goodbye Textamerica! If you can't make a reasonable plan, I'm not going to use you. I'll continue to use Flickr, which is more reasonably priced. Flickr allows camera phone uploads. I'll just create a Moblogging set and send my pictures there.

Not much else from me.
