I'm Not Dead…I Just Feel That Way.

Playing Scene It
Uploaded by peachy92.

I've been busy. Yesterday was spent doing family errands before dinner. I spent last night at Melissa's house with a few other Wesley students. We had a dinner, played some rounds of a game, and just talked. It was fun. The game we played was Scene It? After losing twice to Melissa's husband, Chris, we Wesley students there agreed he's not allowed to play that game with us again. *Laughing* We had a fun night. I took some photos of the night and uploaded them to Flickr.

On my way home last night, Beth called me. She wanted an escort home from Skidaway Island. So, I drove out there to follow her back home. As I did that errand, I saw a few meteorites in the sky. Most were shooting stars, but I did see at least one that exploded like a gold firework. Quite interesting. Matthew spent his evening out at the beach observing it.

Today was quite an adventure today, too. My father, Matthew, and I were to go grocery shopping after a trip to Circuit City. My father's big screen had a problem and it's under warranty. It was taken in for a repair to one of their contractors, but came home yesterday. It wasn't fixed; there was even another problem on the screen! He went in today, with pictures of the problems, to complain about how long he had to wait to get it fixed and then only to get the TV back in even worse condition. We were there for almost 4 hours. I could have taken a nap on the La-z-Boy display! In the end, because of the hassle of this repair job, my dad not only got the problem taken care of, he also got a $50.00 gift card. *Smile* We're keeping it as movie money. By the time we got out, we were hungry. We went to Logan's for dinner and then came home to nap.

So yes, I'm not dead, just busy.

The Thursday Threesome: Payin' the Bills

Thursday Threesome:

Onesome: Payin'-- Hey, 'they' tell us fuel prices are down! What are you payin' this week for a gallon of gas? I last I saw, about $2.10-$2.11 a gallon.

Twosome: the-- heck you say! There's an election coming up here in the US; do you plan to vote? No, no need for your soapbox. ...unless you want to <g>. Yes, I will. My polling place is in walking distance of my house.

Threesome: Bills-- Which bill(s) do you absolutely dislike paying? ...and by that I mean the one you "have to-have to" but wish you didn't have to. Tuition/books? Power? The newspaper? I think ALL bills fall into this category. *Laughing* However, online bill pay takes on the sting of the pain. *Smile*

AASU Day

AASU Day
Uploaded by peachy92.

Today was Celebrate AASU Day. For those that haven't followed my blog or attended Armstrong, AASU Day is once a year. It's a day of fun, free stuff, food, games, and fundraisers. It's a morale boosting day. Pictures from today are in my AASU Flickr Set. People brought their kids and dogs. It's a family friendly event.

Today's picture is one of my Calc professor after being dunked by his own son! Some girls were shocked at the outfit he wore for the booth. I heard them asking did he dress that way for school! No, he doesn't wear stuff like this green and yellow suit in class.

The ACM booth raffled off an iPod. I think we made about an $80.00 profit. Chris, the ACM president, and I mainly ran the booth. One of the Roberts helped for about an hour. I got many compliments on the collage I created.

I didn't realize I knew that many people! Many people may not know my name, but they recognize who I am. One girl was glad to see me and liked the fact I would go on the mini-ride on campus. I saw the pastor from Ekklesia. He asked how I was. I told him my mother died and I have been swamped with that. He told me that starting Sunday, they will be having a discussion about the preacher that condemned us all the hell 2 weeks ago. He agreed with me that the guy just wanted attention.

I had my face painted with a pumpkin. *Smile* It was still on my face when I went to film class. As class was about to begin, my professor asked me what was on the face. She couldn't start class until she knew what was up with my face! *Laughing* I was goofy in class, but I'm usually goofy in classes on AASU day.

And as I was leaving campus, I ran into the mother of a girl that used to do pageants with Beth. We just caught up on how our families were doing. She couldn't believe how much I had changed since she last saw me. She noticed the glasses were gone and I wasn't as frumpy as I was back in 1999. She said I looked a plenty happy today compared to the past. However, she did recognized me by my voice.

All in all, I had a good day. *Smile*

"She Doesn't Love You Anymore / Maybe She Did Long Ago"

I took a few more pictures today for my Savannah Flickr Set. I have a few shots of Isle of Hope and the surrounding area.

Today was a fine day for school. I got a couple of hours of work in today since I won't be able tomorrow. It's AASU Day. It's the one day of the year we students are encouraged to have fun. I'll be taking my camera and getting plenty of shots. I'm working the ACM booth, plus I'll take breaks to experience other parts of the day. *Smile*

I need to get off my butt and get that spare Dell computer working. It needs a new hard drive. I plan on putting that computer into my room. I am a busy chick.

Last Minute Planning

Boat
Uploaded by peachy92.

This afternoon, we were doing pre-planning for the ACM booth on Wednesday for AASU day! Chris, our president, didn't get a booth! *Banging My Head Against The Wall* It was all a miscommunication between him and our facility advisor leading to us not reserving a booth. It's okay now; we have a booth! So, if anyone in the Savannah area wants an iPod, the ACM will be raffling one for $3.00 an entry Wednesday! We did pre-planning for it,going over the final plans before constructing our booth Wednesday morning. I'm waiting on some details to get back to me before I complete the sign for the raffle.

I took a few photos of the Coffee Bluff/Vernonburg side of town today. I'm getting into my photography. I'm not the best photographer, but I'm enjoying taking shots. This is a shot of a boat out on the Vernon River off Rose Dhu Rd.

Wesley lunch was fine. I went ahead and registered for the retreat in February. *Smile* I've got to pay for that, along with the Omicron Delta Kappa fees. I feel like I'm going crazy!

I spoke to the Senior Advisor in the IT department today. I've got to think about the IT project I have to do to graduate. I have no clue what to do. I have to "try to do something innovative", is what he said to me. I have no clue what to do. *Shake Head* People may think I'm innovated and talented, but I'm not that impressive. I wish my mother was here. She'd make me feel better.

Trip To The Savannah NWR

Savannah NWR
Uploaded by peachy92.

My father, brother, and I went to the Savannah National Wildlife Refuge early this afternoon. I took my pictures and took plenty of pictures. They are in their own Flickr set, Savannah National Wildlife Refuge. While we were out, we also stopped to take a few pictures of the grotto at Our Lady of Lourdes in Port Wentworth and we stopped at the Globe. Pictures from those stops are in the West Chatham County Flickr Set and Savannah Flickr Set.

We didn't see much wildlife at the refuge today. We saw only 3 gators and 5 turtles. No "exotic" birds. *Frown* I'm going to chuck it up to the fall temps for the animals being away. I haven't been to the refuge in a few years.

Fall break ends tonight. That's okay. I've enjoyed the free time. At the moment, I'm doing about 3 weeks of laundry. I backed up on my laundry. I didn't realize I had so many clothes!
