It's a tax-free weekend in Georgia! And what did I do today? I went to Wal-Mart!

I mainly went to get batteries for camera. They died today as I was snapping pictures of Gizmo for my dad. Gizmo was flat on his back, spread out for maximum coverage of the back of the couch. Back to Wal-Mart. I left with more than batteries. I got 2 outfits for school, a new razor, scrunchies, pony tail holders, bottle water for the shed, and a few more items. Over $115.00 dollars. Oops. And on top of that, I put over $33.00 in my gas tank to fill it up.

I'm pretty much ready for the return of school, save for a new parking decal.

I know I have baggy eyes and probably need some Preparation H for them myself. Having the shit flung onto me the past year, I really don't care about the bags under my eyes. I was making a joke. I need jokes in my life. End of discussion for baggy eyes and Preparation H for me.

For my friends, I've got some new pictures of the cats up. I'm enjoying my new camera. If it wasn't so hot, I would go out to Tybee and take some lighthouse shots. I was asked to take shots for the ACM's cookout on the 17^th. I would love to, but I don't think I could. I have classes during the time it's happening. Maybe my Special Topics class would get out early for me to do it. There's only 4 people in that class at the moment. It might be cancelled.

Last night, I was TotalFarking. I got into a discussion about the IT field. As soon as school starts up again, I'm going to ask about where to get certifications. I'd like to get one in SQL. I was also asking was it worth pursuing a Masters degree. With the project I'm working on at school, I'm building some history to my name in the IT field. At the moment, the professor is using my name for a grant proposal. A few of the professors in the IT department would like to see me get a Masters. I won't get it as soon as I get out of school, but I'm thinking about it.

Off to enjoy the rest of summer vacation for the day.

Twosome: to-- beat the heat! It seems like it's all sort of hot all over the Northern Hemisphere this Summer! What are you doing to handle the heat? ...and for those Down Under? Well, your turn may come in just a few months; do you have any plans for then? Since it's around 100 here is Savannah, today, I'm taking the day off. I'm out of school for 2 weeks. I fell list last night before going to bed. I'm keeping the water in me. I just took my medicine. I'm going to take it easy as much as I can.

Threesome: Fill-- your cup with a cold something! What are you drinking this summer to keep cool? ...and if you're a tea drinker: is it "ice tea" or "iced tea"? Just curious... Plenty of ice cold water.

It's damn hot outside! And I was an idiot and went to Bonaventure again today at noon. I went to test out my new camera. You can see all my Bonaventure pictures in the Bonaventure Flickr set. Feel free to leave comments. Maybe one day, when it's cooler, I can go and take photos of other parts of Savannah, like downtown.

Or maybe, one day soon, I can go up to Charleston and visit Ft. Sumter. I'd like to have shots of that. I guess I should go to Ft. Pulaski here and take shots. And old Ft. Jackson. There's plenty of places nearby to take photos.

Not much else for me today. I have my History final tonight.

Today has been a long day!

What have I done today? Beth and I went to the mall and out for lunch. At the mall, I got a new digital camera. I got a Fujifilm FinePix S5200. I figured I could use a new camera since the old one needs repair. Also, no telling, as an IT student, when I'll need a digital photo. This picture is one of Harri I took once I got home. She's attacking my father's evil boots. I also have photos of Scooter and PupPup up on Flickr.

I also got a chance to drive the new Jeep today. I loved it. I want one. It will have to wait until I'm well settled after school. That car is loaded with features. Nicki is not happy that it's Beth's. We can all drive it if needed. I took it today because I was off with Beth and it has A/C.

The coup de grand of today was what was happened between getting home this afternoon and going to school. Matthew has this huge spider bite on the back of his leg. He went to the doctor yesterday to clean it out. It's a deep sore. As my father was changing the dressing for it, the ribbon that the stuffed into the sore came out all at once, instead of the inch for the day. Oh, it was gross! We're not sure what type of spider bit him. My father rushed my brother back to the health clinic to place more ribbon into it. Matthew, being the ever sicko that he is, videotaped the whole adventure at home. He uploaded it to Google Video for his friends to see.

I slept poorly last night. My dad's trailer is in the shop. Because of this, Harri, which he believe to be a female kitten, is sleeping in the house. She has decided to sleep with me. My jaw is hurting at the moment. I woke up with Harri in my hair. I must have been careful in my sleep trying to not sleep on the kitten. My dad misses the kitten. He's sleeping out in our shed. He has that shed all insulated, with an A/C unit, and old electronics hooked up for an entertainment center. He also has Pikachu. As soon as the trailer is back, he's taking his kitten back as well. He claims Harri to be his.

Last night, I ordered these shirts online. I got them in extra large sizes. I hope they fit me, or I'm sending them back. It's so hard to find ladies' raglans in stores. And as for finding a nice size? I hate XL shirts that don't fit! I've been burned by them before. Oh, let's hope they fit. They are cute. The thing is when it's T-shirt time, I get large shirts. I only go to XL when they run small.

Today, I got 3 hours of work in at school. I was going to finish my PowerPoint, but I decided to make a layout with a template I had instead. It's looking nice. I just have to redo the image used on the site. I'm not fond of the font I used. I must fix it. I also had my last mandatory day of class. The final is Wednesday. Tomorrow is optional review. I'll probably go.
