My mother has been so sweet to me lately.
Yesterday, she gave my her orange cat earrings. She got them many moons ago when Matthew and Beth were babies. They reminded us all about Pumpkin. She gave them to me because she knew I've not been myself lately. I started crying because I still miss Pumpkin. I love Pikachu, don't get me wrong, but Pumpkin was my best friend. He was more than a cat. He was a human soul in a kitty body.
Today, she stopped by at work and delivered me some flowers and a balloon. I didn't expect it. It's not the same as if a guy gave then, she knows, but she gave it to me because she loves me.
I know I'm loved. I love my mother so much. I know there are days I wish to move away from this town. There are days I hate my mother's actions. But I do love her. It would hurt me if someone said I could no longer contact my mother.
Ok, I'm crying now. But they aren't sad tears. They are happy tears.
I do need to get back to work.

Thanks for the Happy Valentine's Day wish, Shawn!! I hope yours has been a good one! And I think it's really neat that your sister's name is Nicki!! Oh, and also thanks for saying I can post.... I know that's what this is for, but I almost feel as if I'm invading someone's privacy or sticking my nose in their business when I do. 
Your mother sounds positively wonderful and I thought it was SO sweet when I read about her bringing you flowers and a balloon. I don't know what I'd do without my mom, I really don't. Or my great friends, for that matter. So.... maybe Valentine's Day isn't so bad after all. I mean, if it's supposed to be about love, and being loved..... then I'm very lucky, since I love and am loved by many. Ok, so maybe none of them are tall, dark, and handsome.... but love is love!!
Sorry about your kitty, Pumpkin. 
My family and I have had many cats over the years. At one time we had 15!! But I know what it's like to have a special one, that is like a best friend.
Well, I think I'll be going now. We're getting ready to leave for the wedding. Yay. Plus, I think I'm going to make one last attempt to hunt Cupid down. I mean, it IS his holiday so maybe he'll be out and about.... maybe I can catch him with his guard down. LoL. One last "Happy Valentine's Day" wish for you AND your family!! God Bless!!
