I looked at a couple of apartment complexes today. I feel in love with the first complex I visited. I will have to return tomorrow up there and file an application and make a deposit. I took Mary Ellen, Joey's mother, to look at the complexes. She agreed with me about the feel between the 2 we visited. It doesn't hurt that this place is about a mile from where I will work. It was just what I need. I hear there are some photographers living in the complex. And there is a pool and tennis and a scenic view. I loved it. The complex had so much to offer. The other place wasn't bad, but it just didn't feel like a good fit for me. Not only did I ask questions, but Mary Ellen did as well. I'm glad she went with me. I needed a surrogate mother with me.

This is all scary and exciting at the same time. After apartment hunting, Mary Ellen and I browsed Linen 'n' Things.

As I was still sleeping this morning, the twins were dropped off by their mother. Joey and Harold watched the twins, along with Joey caring for his son. The girl twin was so excite to hear I was here and was disappointed I was sleeping. I haven't really gotten to spent much time with her. When I was finally awake, the boy twin and The Kiddo wanted me to put the Wii together. When we got back from apartment hunting, I took the boy twin and started playing Uno with him. He may be 5, but to play Uno, all he needed to know are his numbers and colors. As we were playing, The Kiddo came up to us and wanted to play. So, 3 of us were playing and then Joey takes over The Kiddo's hand and becomes determined to beat me. The Kiddo loved it. He couldn't wait to beat Shawnze. And like nearly ever other game Joey plays with me, I lost big time. The boys (all three of them, because Joey can be such a child, too) loved the game. Even after dinner, Boy Twin and The Kiddo were playing with the cards.

And yes, The Kiddo was calling me Shawnze. Joey has taught the boy that nickname. Joey was the only one to call me that. He picked it up from Boy Meets World. This is the third day ever I have been around him, and he's calling me Shawnze. He again told me he was glad I was a friend of his dad's. Makes me wonder what Joey has said about me in addition to what the Kiddo knows about me from the 3 days I've been around him. And when The Kiddo heard about the apartment complex, he wanted to see it. Maybe one day.

Tonight's going to be a full house here at Casa de Joey's. It's his folks place, so understandable they're hear. Joey had the Kiddo this week. I am here The Twins are here. Later, the twins' mother (Joey's sister-in-law) and their brother are going to spend the night. Good thing I'm used to full houses where 3 generations are sleeping. We did that many times at Grandma and Grandpa's place.
