Working On My Family Tree
January 14, 2008

I've tried before to work on my family tree, but have always lost interest. Seeing Joey's mother at the historical society working on Joey's family sparked my interest again. So, this weekend, I worked on it a bit. I'm working on it, now, as well. When I was at the historical society with Joey, I joked it would be funny if we were distant cousins. *Laughing* If he is, he's probably related via my Grandma's side of the family.

I had a good day today. I did have Lindsey and Joey team up together and call me to check up on me today. I wasn't expecting it. It was Lindsey that called. But, I before I even picked up my phone, I had a feeling that the call was his idea. They were just checking up on me. I spoke to both. I appreciate it. They are great friends to have.

The best part of the day was finding a CD burned for my mother 5 years ago. It contained photos from the trip we made to Alabama. The disc is starting to rot. *Frown* However, I was able to recover many photos. The camera Patsy had was good for the time, but compared to today, it sucks. The photos aren't the best. However, I found 3 with my mother. One is of her with just me. It wasn't the best of either one of us. However, it's got us together. *Smile* Another one is the 2 of us with Nancy. The third was one you could clearly tell I took. It was the best of the 3. It was Nancy, my mother, and Patsy. I was so happy to find them. Joey called me again as I found the photos. I wasn't in the mood to talk to him because I was so preoccupied with these photos. I was so thrilled to find them.

However, I did send Lindsey and Joey one of the photos I found. I wanted them to see how long my hair was back then. I still look the same in a way, but at the same time, I am not the same. I'm 20 pounds lighter and my hair isn't that long. In fact, I need a hair cut soon. It's at the perfect length. It's long enough to be long, but short enough to be manageable for me.

I've seen some of our family tree worked on - very cool. Our family has been traced back to Jamestown on my dad's side.
