Late this afternoon, early this evening, I was at the airport. Why was I at the airport? Because I'm too nice of a girl and took Joey to the airport. He's off this weekend to visit his family. It made more sense time wise and financially to fly to Atlanta than to get a ride up there. So, he needed a ride and guess who has a car. 
We left his place at 4:30 this evening and got him there in time to drink before going through the TSA checkpoint. At the bar, he ordered a double Crown Royal and Ginger with a lime. I had a water. He knows I don't drink, and he understands why I don't drink. However, he told me to try it. So, I did. I can finally say I tried an alcoholic drink. I don't see the appeal. The tiny sip I had was nasty. My reaction was something to watch. I think he wanted to see the reaction. He likes to tease me at times.
Actually, it probably did me some good taking him to the airport. Out of the blue during our travel, he asked me how exactly my mother died. I don't know what prompted this, since we were talking about sunglasses, air travel, and Journey at the time. I ended up explaining that fateful day to him. He's been getting on me to just sit down with her urn and talk. And I've been telling him it's hard for me to verbalize some things. There are some things I prefer to not state. I think it's from fear.
The only other thing I had today was Meterology class. We finally got some extra credit for showing up to class. And now, I'm about to eat dinner while we wait for Beth to get home and have some cake. I can't believe she's 20. And I do remember the day she was born.
