Today, between Senior Project and afternoon classes, I hung out in the IT lounge with Joey, this guy Matthew, and Joseph.

At one point during this time, we got to talking about William Shatner's rendition of "Rocket Man" (expand this entry to see it). I don't know how we ended up on it. I probably was the one that brought it up. So, we had Matthew pull it up on YouTube and we all watched it. After that, I mentioned that Family Guy mocked it. So, we listened to that rendition and laughed at both. Really, if you haven't seen either of them, you must see Shatner's for the cheese factor and the Family Guy version for nailing it.

After the "Rocket Man" videos, We started watching videos of Kevin Pollack and his Shatner impersonations. As we watched, all I could think about is that for all the times we're trying to prove that being a computer guru does not mean we're geeks, we really were being geeky today. Finally, when I lost interested, the guys all moved on to Eddie Murphy videos.
