Squirrel Alive!
Moblogged by peachy92.

This little squirrel was the highlight of my day. Some random guy in campus, named Justin, saw the poor little baby on the sidewalk. Justin just stopped and watched it. I was walking in the opposite direction as Justin and saw him with this weird look on his face. It was enough to stop me. On the ground was this baby, not moving. *Frown* A small crowd gathered around the dear. We weren't sure how he was, but all of us were afraid the assholes in golf carts on campus would run over him. None of us could live with that. Eventually, Justin, this girl Amanda, and I escorted the squirrel to the Biology department to check him out and care for him in case he was injured. We found out that the Biology department had taken in another baby squirrel today with an injured leg. *Frown* Poor babies.

Today's colloquium was titled "Weighing the Evidence: A Sampling of Counterfeit Coin Problems." It was presented by my Calc professor, Dr. Brawner. His talks are interesting. He takes the math concepts and relates them to the non-math majors. Sometimes, I am just bored in those colloquia, but not his. He did the same in Calc, too. It was interesting how you can find out a counterfeit coin.

I did some shopping today. I needed some more face makeup. After a year, it's all gone. But I tell you what. The $38.00 I pay at Dillard's is worth it. I get to test the makeup out and find a great shade. When I buy makeup at Target or Wal-Mart, there's a good chance the color isn't right. Like last week. So, I'm happy I got the new makeup. I bought a few other things today, like an outfit and hair stuff.

I got an 85 on my first Digital Photography assignment. *Sigh* I think the thing that pissed me off on that grade is that the professor didn't give me any comments. Hello! That's the point of this class - to become a better photographer. No comments, no learning. But, photography is subjective. What I deem a good photo may be bad to someone else. It doesn't matter in the long run. Senior Project was spent in the Writing Center. That was a waste of time. My advisor finally realized today that I had worked in the Writing Center. I think he figured it out when Joey announced to the class I did the handouts. I think I pissed the kid doing the tour. He was missing some of the things to mention, for one. Another was that he was telling us things to make life in the Center easier, and I was only stressing his viewpoint. He thought I must have hung out there a lot. I told him after class that I used to work there, with his friend, David. I told him I worked on the site and did the handouts.

After Senior Project and the squirrel adventure, I was in the IT lounge and ended up running into the Amanda girl again. I have heard of her, but never met her. She's about 2 years behind me. We just got to talking. Seems she's like me. She wants good grades. She's told to relax. We just talked about life as an IT student, and what we think of others in the department. She was nice. I told her she needs to come to the ACM meetings and look into the CSEMS scholarship.

I was going to practice my golf swing today, but by the time Joey got out of class, it was raining hard. So, I took him home. Taking him home has been I give him the keys and he drives from Armstrong to his house. It's easier for the both of us. I got a compliment from him. I'll take any I can get. *Laughing* He remarked about me being able to think and make life easier. We were going to walk in the rain, with one umbrella, to my car. I wasn't about to get soaked. So, I told him to come back and I'll get through a building to get to my car. Why he didn't think of that, I don't know! Men! We're going to shoot for tomorrow, weather permitting.
