ACM Meeting
Uploaded by peachy92.

Today was golf day. In class, I worked on hitting on the range with my 7 iron, my big honkin' club, and putting. I suck at golf. *Laughing* I also got a blister on my left hand. I'm a right handed golfer. As I was complaining about my blister later in the day, Joey heard what my problem was and offered to help me with my grip. I went out and got a golf glove for the rest of the class. After we each got out our evening classes, we went out to afield on campus and he helped me with my grip and swing. Believe it or not, some of the stuff he told me made sense. He compared it to baseball and used phrases and terms my professor didn't. He made it easier to grasp the concept. Tomorrow, after his afternoon class, when I should be in E-Commerce, but won't be in because class was canceled, we're going back out and work my swing some more. I just need to put more loft into the ball.

We had our first ACM meeting of the semester. I think it went over well. We had a few kinks we could have worked on, but over all, it was a success. It was mainly an introduction to ACM meeting. I got in front of the group to update them on the website being up and to let them know about joining the TDC I run. Mike had arranged for some games and prizes. We gave away a few gift cards and flash drives. We also had a few groups get together to brainstorm for ideas for the year. We just didn't finalize what activity will be our end of month activity. I think someone forgot that. Oops! Later this week, we're planning next week's meeting.

Between the ACM meeting and Photography, when Joey and I weren't going through photos, I helped tutored a guy in 1150, the HTML class. Not the first time I've done this. Years ago when MAS took 1150, he got me help him work with CSS properties since he didn't know anything about them. He wanted bonus points and knew I would help him. I taught him enough overnight and the day the project was due for him to get the extra credit points. Well, today's guy had the same professor that MAS took. This guy was just having trouble grasping the idea of the <body> tag and that attributes go in the tag. He was looking for the professor, but Katz was not in his office. So, I sat with the guy, and like Joey did with the golf, explained to the guy the concept in other ways. I went through his code and explained why the professor marked it wrong. Then, I showed him how to do it correctly. I also showed him a few other things and explained a few other things to make understanding and life easier. Eventually, the professor showed up to get with this guy. At least the professor saw I was helping this guy. *Smile* Joey kind of butt into my helping the guy to explain other things to this guy because I just didn't get to them fast enough. *Shake Head* Why do guys do that? MAS did that, too. Drives me bonkers.

Photography class was a bore. We went over shutter speed and aperture. Maybe if we were a little more hands-on, it wouldn't be so bad. I made it hands-on. I had my camera, because of the ACM meeting, and started taking pictures at different speeds and apertures. Plus, it doesn't help by that time of day, I have a stress headache. The only thing lately to sooth such a headache has been Coke. I don't need to start drinking it like I once did, but it sure does help. I actually bought a Coke to drink today that wasn't for a special occasion. It did lessen the edge.
