Today was another busy day, but at least I got to sleep in a bit. And for once this week, I don't have a headache. It must be the Coke I had earlier in the day.
My day started by attending the first Math/Computer Science colloquium of the new school year. Today's presentation was by the Math department's head, Dr. Lorrie Hoffman. The topic was about maintaining and attracting students to degree programs like math and science. Most of the people there today were faculty members. A few math students showed up. For the IT department, it was just me and Lindsey. The only CS people I saw were professors. It was a very interesting topic. It was a shame we didn't have time to have a lengthy discussion between the audience members. I wanted to say a few things about being a science student from my prospective and getting to know more.
Senior Project met today in the library. I basically ignore the speech. I know; that was wrong of me. At the point, I didn't need to know how to research stuff in the library. I used my time starting a instruction booklet that's part of my senior project. I ended up working on that when I wasn't in class or talking to my Senior Project director. After class, he pulled me aside to get my opinion on the library day. I told him it was a god thing for first semester people, but us second semester people were bored. We've been there, done that. He also asked me for my opinion on other stuff, which I gave. I have to continue working on that booklet tomorrow. Getting that written is a load off my back and is part of my Senior Project paperwork.
I took this photo on my way to Digital Photography class today. Some flowers looked nice on campus, so I stopped and took some photo. In class, we were assigned a 1 page biography and a Power Point presentation for a 20th Century Photographer. I chose Alfred Eisenstaedt, the photographer of the famous sailor/nurse V-J Day kiss. The girl next to me didn't know who to choose, so I told her to take on Annie Leibovitz. The assignment isn't due until the 17th. As soon as I came home, I wrote the paper and did most of the work on the Power Point. That's one less thing I have to do tomorrow and the next few weeks. Now, to get off my ass and do my E-Commerce paper that's due the 27th!
