I spent most of my day not on Senior Project, which uses PHP 5, but developing a crude management script for ACM, using PHP 4. I didn't get it completed, but the person in charge of member management has a script that can add members to a database, send an e-mail to all members, and list the members so he can e-mail them one-on-one. It's going to take a bit of thinking to get the edit part working.

I'm also sick of vile people. Last night on Fark, a story about a step-father upset that his step-daughter's step-mother posted photos of her in a bikini was posted. The girl is 14-years-old. She's not stick thin. I could not believe the number of asshats posting mean remarks over the girls's size. The poor girl just wore a bikini on a family vacation. She probably didn't ask her step-mother to post the photos. She also probably didn't ask her step-father to raise a cow about them. While I think her step-father is acting stupid and made a small little bump in the road into a big mountain, it's also mean of strangers to insult this girl like they are. I just hope those asshats remarking on the girls look will get their just deserts one day. As for the step-father, he just looks like an idiot for bringing this to the news. It didn't help that the local news station covering the story proceeded to leave enough clues in the video that the Farkers found the MySpace in question and the girl's photos. If the step-father kept this a private matter, none of the asshattery that is pissing me off would have happened. And I know I'm not the only one appalled at the mean comments.

In other news, Gennie and I are close to finalizing our plans for a Savannah Blogger meet up. We're choosing a venue, now. I'll post details as soon as it's all set!
