I got a haircut/trim today. Looking at the photos from last week, I decided my hair was getting a little too long. Looking back at times in my life, as an adult, I'm not happy when my hair is long. It looked great long back in 1991 when I was 12. I should dig up one of those photos. However, not so much not. Plus, it's hard to maintain when it's long. Today, I got the courage to get it done. Lindsey told me of the place near school that she goes and gets her hair done. I went and told her I was going to do it. She went on her lunch break and we both got our hair done.
It's at a much more manageable length. Yes, two inches does make a difference.
I spent parts of my day at the Writing Center and in a classroom. Lindsey was studying for a test and asked me to help her, since it's IT stuff. I gave her a crash course in the different type of computer languages categories and system analysis basics. When I wasn't socializing today, I work on the database part of my senior project. I couldn't finish everything. The Internet went out at school. The whole school. I thought it was the IT lounge, since earlier in the week, Lindsey had 'Net when I didn't. We realized it was school wide when Lindsey came and asked me. We still had the school Intranet working, so Lindsey got school e-mails keeping tabs of the outage. The 'Net won't be back until after midnight today. Seems a fiber optic cable a mile from school was snipped. It put a damper on everyone. Lindsey couldn't talk to her husband. I couldn't research SQL tips. And at one point, I was going to take Joey home so he could use the 'Net so he could finish his group project. I even offered him my phone to check his e-mail, but Yahoo and my phone don't work. I love my cell phone for the Internet, but I don't want a Blackberry. I dread the day I'll get one of those.
Driving my car wasn't too fun today. I stalled a few times on the way and from to McDonald's. McDonald's isn't far from school. At least I didn't panic. Either my father or Joey, I can't remember, remarked that at least I didn't panic when I stalled. I've got that going for me. I've only driven that car with 3 other people in the passenger seat: my father, Joey, and Leslie. All three can drive a standard transmission. Today, I was going to hand Joey my keys to drive. I guess that's trust on my part. Also, if I can get out of driving, I will do it. Back in the days I first had IJAC, I'd wasn't comfortable driving it. So, when Nicki I traveled to Jacksonville or Orlando for boybands and spring training baseball, I'd let Nicki do the driving. It took time for me to get use to IJAC. And it's going to take time to get used to Bumper, the name Nicki gave the car.
