Yesterday, I spent most of my day out at Armstrong. The morning was spent helping with the high school Math Tournament hosted by my school. Students from all over Georgia and South Carolina competed in this event. one of the school car's had "Kiss My Asymptote" written on the window.
I assisted my Graphics Design professor proctor a JV room of students. Some of those questions asked of these kids were hard. One question was Calculus. After that question was given and none of them got it, I told them it was Calculus. That made them feel somewhat better. Late in my turn at the tournament, I helped Chris set up the Quiz Bowl table outside of the auditorium that would be hosting the awards ceremony. He asked me a favorite question of mine.
I answered it truthfully: disappointed. Oh well, it time, people will stop asking me that question at school.
My afternoon was spent at the baseball field. My Armstrong Atlantic State University Pirates were hosting the Francis Marion University Patriots. I ended up sitting near one of my IT classmates who was also at the game. I took my camera and practiced taking shots of a a game on the sidelines, with netting and fencing in my view path. The Pirated defeated the Patriots, 3-2, in 11 innings. We won on a major error by the Patriots, allowing our runner on the base paths to score. More college baseball will be held throughout the week at Armstrong with the 2007 Savannah Invitational. Several school from across the nation are in town for the event. I might go to the Friday morning game at Grayson Stadium. It will be SIU Edwardsville vs. St. Joseph's of Indiana. Seems like an interesting way to spend Spring Break. It's beautiful weather in town to watch some baseball.
My sinuses have been going off, making me take stuff to make myself feel better. The medicine is also making my sleepy. I hope today is the last day for me to suffer. I want to enjoy Spring Break. It will also be St. Patrick's Day weekend here.
