Running Myself Ragged

Yesterday was confirmation that I'm running myself ragged. I had to attend a president's meeting for the presidents of clubs and groups on campus. No, I'm not a president of anything. I just represented the Wesley Foundation for the meeting. The president of Omicron Delta Kappa was there. After the meeting, I pulled her aside to ask about getting my stuff, which I still haven't gotten. It was then that she told me that recognized my name. Yes, my name is known on campus. I'm a busy girl. I'm active in ACM and Wesley. I'm a member of ODK and Phi Kappa Phi. And I'm a Who's Who student. During that meeting yesterday, I found out that ODK is having a meeting on the 28th. ACM is having its monthly meeting on the 26th . All my clubs and classes are competing against each other. I'm a person that puts class first.

After the meeting, I came home and helped my dad with my car. We had to get a new battery. On the way to get it, this crazy woman decided she's more important in the scheme of life. She decided she's going to get in front of my father in the lane on Skidaway. She was turning onto the road. My dad was on the road, going straight. Stupid woman almost hit us. My dad move forwarded to tell the lady that he had the right-of-way. When my dad looked down at her (we were in his truck), she started cussing him out and calling him a white mother farker. My dad looked at her and agreed. That made her even angrier. And when traffic started to move, my dad just stopped in the road and refused to move to let this most important woman go in front of him. Finally, he let the bitch go forward just to get her out of our way. She was just a perfect example of a Savannah driver. it's me first in this town, screw the traffic laws. On my way home earlier, I had seen the same attitude that could have caused a head-on wreck on Waters Ave. Once upon a time, Mike called me a old woman driver. I told him to shut up. These examples just prove why I drive as I do. I don't need an idiot or someone not paying attention to the traffic to hurt me! I've already lost one car! I don't want to lose another.

Later last night, Wesley Foundation met for dinner at Melissa's. It was our biggest dinner yet. Erin, Jessie, Lindsey, her husband Chris, long-time but formerly missing member Chris, Callum, Ashlee, and Ashlee's friend Misty, a BCM gal, were all there. Also joining us for dinner was Terry's mama. Terry could have been there, but he didn't answer his mama's call. It was a fun dinner. Afterwards, we played Phase 10 and joked about Jessie's competitiveness. When Melissa asked if he wanted brownies, we all agreed to get some to take a break from the game. Poor Jessie was stuck on phase 2 when the rest of us were on 4. Just before Jessie left, we took this group shot. We did end up completing the game. Ashlee and Misty's team got to phase 10. They also had the least amount of points.

I think you are quite the busy girl! Good luck with keeping everything together...I have a hard time of just remembering what kid goes where and when. I am an "old woman" driver too. There is nothing at all wronge with it at all. We have to pay very good attention to what is going on b/c everyone else on the road does NOT care at all. Well, just giving you my two cents on that. hee hee! Be good.
