Playing Phase 10

I should have worked on my Ethics paper. Instead, I went to Tybee Island to take pictures of the Turtle Tour. There are 21 turtles on the tour; I found 19. "You Look Out for Me and I’ll Look Out for You" and "Tybee Faces" were out at the Turtle Hospital. I have pictures of "You Look Out…," but not "Tybee Faces." Maybe next time I take my camera out to Tybee, she'll be there. The turtles are all over the island.

Last night, we Wesley folks got together again for dinner at Melissa's. It was fun. Melissa served homemade vegetable beef soup and salad. Desert was made of brownies and ice cream. The game with played this time was Phase 10. I can't recall the last time I played it. I ended up winning to game. The cards just played in my favor. Jessie was not happy I was playing so well. She spent her first skip card on me. Oh well. I was risky once. I had a wild card. I placed it into the discard pile. Chris picked it up. My gamble won. I lost the hand, but didn't get stuck with the 25 points the wild card would have given me. Chris had a wild card of his own, so on 2 cards, he had 50 points. I was cold playing that game. Another time, I skipped another player in hopes of winning the round. That paid off, as well.

Nancy e-mailed me last night to see if I was okay. I responded that I was busy. The next few weeks are going to be busy. Once the retreat weekend is over, things should slow down for me. Always something!
