Lining up for the Christmas Parade
Uploaded by peachy92.

About 2 this afternoon, I decided to take my camera and go out to Bonaventure. I spent over an hour out there, mainly walking the grounds and taking pictures. It's quite scenic with all the oak tress, Spanish moss, different types of headstones, and it being set upon the Wilmington River.

After the trip to Bonaventure, I decided to go downtown to take some shots. I was going to park on River St., but I forgot it was the first Saturday of December. The annual Savannah Christmas Parade was today! It used to be in the morning, but they've moved it to night. So, I walked around Factors Walk and River Street until the paradce began. I took some photos while down there. This year's Grand Marshall was Savannah's dear Paula Deen. I haven't mastered objects moving in the dark, so my pictures are crappy. My dad liked them because he found the effects of the lights in the photo to be cool. He guesses I need a camera with a faster shutter speed. Maybe one day. I was alone today, but it was fun to participate in the city's welcoming of Christmas.

As for this picture, these are the guys are Shriners from Alee Temple. The guys were more than willing to pose for this shot. After it, they gave me some pirate tattoos. *Laughing*
