Mighty 8th Air Force
Uploaded by peachy92.

I was by myself for dinner tonight. Bitterness entered my thoughts as I was at Applebee's. I don't want to discuss it. I just want to move on. I brought my dinner home.

I did have a busy day. My father had me go out to Bill Waits RV World to get him some TV wires. The RV joint is across US 80 from the The Mighty Eighth Air Force Museum. It's $10.00 to visit, but it's well worth it. It's main focus is about the The Mighty Eighth Air Force and its role in World War II. The 8th was stationed mainly in the UK. The museum has planes, engines, clothing, nearly anything dealing with the 8th. It even has a memorial garden and a chapel. I took some pictures of the museum, like this one of the Boeing B-47 Stratojet on the campus. The pictures of the museum are in my West Chatham Flickr Set.

On my way home, I made a short stop on River Street. I took a few pictures of that area, too. They are uploaded in the Savannah Flickr Set. I think they are cool, considering the lighting outside when I took them. *Smile*

When I got home, I found a check from my school in the mail. Freaked me out, because as far as I knew, I got all my financial aid for this semester. Seems with my high grade point average, major, and standing in school, I'm eligible for a $2,000.00 National SMART Grant. *EEK!* I never even heard of the grant before today! Someone's looking out for me. Seems my major is critical to national security. *Laughing* My dad is wanting me to work for the government when I get out of school.

That's been my day.

Hey chickie! How have you been?

Sorry you've been under the weather, I hope you feel better soon.

Things are... okay around here... the bad days still outweigh the good and I'm not looking forward to this coming holiday season too much. I just want to pull the covers over my head and sleep clear through new years. And now, my "big" sis's father is battling throat cancer and the family is down even more.

Congratulations on the SMART grant!

Do you still have the link for that Secret Santa thingie?

Take care!
