This morning, I had to go to the Landings, a gated community in Savannah located on Skidaway Island. I was out there picking up Beth's boyfriend to take to school. He doesn't attend Armstrong, but he does work there. I knew for a while that there was a road named Captain Kirk Lane on the island, but being that I have no way of entering the community, there was no way I could have seen it. Ben, the boyfriend, lives a few streets up the road from Captain Kirk Lane. I made him take this picture.
Because I had to pick up Ben, I got to the Wesley lunch 20 minutes late. It was a good lunch. We had Chick-Fil-A and chips for lunch. And imagine my surprise to see my brother there! I've invited him for a while to come, but he never takes up the offer. Today, he did. I was glad to see him come.
UNIX/PHP class was fine. We mainly went over permissions and the chmod command. Being that I've installed a few scripts on my server, I understand the command, but I don't know to do it on a shell. The professor wanted to force us to learn the hard way first. chmod 755 test.txt is not a hard command. I guess memorizing what the numbers mean is what he meant by hard. After class, I read for my film class and took an hour long nap.
For film class, since it's about the history of film, we watched some ealry slient films. One of the films watched in class was Le Voyage dans la Lune An interesting film, I will say. I think I'm going to enjoy this class.
