I didn't get to sleep until 3. I woke up at 11:30. Yep, I'm being lazy this summer. ![]()
Tonight, I have another history test.
I've been watching coverage of this Israel/Lebanon conflict. I've been watching Fox, CNN, and MSNBC. I feel for those people in both nations that aren't for conflict and are stuck suffering from the conflict.
I think both warring sides are wrong. I see both sides of the conflict, but I don't agree with either of them. As a Christian, I just blows my mind that Muslims and Jews can't get along. They have a lot more in common than they are willing to admit. Off the top of my head, they both find pork revolting. They both think Moses is the most important religious figure. They both believe the Messiah has not arrived. Being that I am a Christian, there is a lot about both religions I don't know. Educate me if you must. However, I think it's a shame that they can't learn to embrace one another and their differences. No, they rather participate in the wars of their fathers and not be open to change. Both of them, over there in the Middle East, are stubborn as hell.
I know this will sound stupid, but I've had this thought for years. The Jews, Muslims, and Christians have all fought over the Holy Land for years. Personally, I think no one should live there. Stop all this fighting. Instead, preserve it as a theme park-like environment. Make it a nationless area. All the workers there believe in the best interest of the Holy Land for all religions. If people have to live there, make it secular. No one religion should be given preference over another. Then again, this must be my American-centric view talking again. All I know I'm sick of war. Call me a pacifist, if you must. I've fought plenty of fights in my life. It's just easier to work together and quit fighting than to fight.
Oh, as for this picture of Bill Hemmer? Well, because of all this coverage, he's been on my TV a lot. Most women find Anderson Cooper hot. For me, it's Bill.
He's the newsman for me. He's got those boyish looks, but he's not some nubile kid in journalism. He's kind of independent. Oh, did you know he's Catholic?
I don't know what it is, but guys with the brown hair and brown eyes are just attractive. Bill Hemmer. Barry Zito. They are just a few. I think I'm attracted to brown eyes because I don't have them. They are exotic to me. Oh, don't forget the hair. The flowing locks look good to me, too. ![]()

Keep up the good work, girl.
Happy thoughts from Helsingborg, Sweden.
Posted by: Mark Base at July 21, 2006 11:44 PMBill is cute, but I'm liking Anderson Cooper more.
I don't know if it's because I'm getting older and the grey hair doesn't matter anymore, but oh well.
Have a good week...
Sincerely,
Denise
Mark.
I hear with Anderson, it is all about the gray hair. I guess I'm attracted to Bill because of the young looks. Maybe because I have people mistake me as 18 all the time.
