This one was out of the blue. My mother's friend, Gail, from North Carolina, showed up at our house last night. She came down to Georgia to take her son to Folkston for trains. She's coming back over tonight, and we're going on to dinner. PupPup has been enjoying the visitors lately. They are dog people.
Yesterday, I did nothing until 1:30. Matthew needed a ride to his job interview. While he was doing that, I drove over to the school and did a few things. I got my paycheck, grabbed some work stuff to bring home this weekend, in case I wanted to work on it, and went to the health clinic. At the health clinic, I had my blood pressure checked and got a few items for research for the Ethics debate. I think the stuff will be helpful in our debate. After the school stuff, I went to the bank, deposited the check, and headed to the mall and got some Pizza Hut at Target. Matthew finished is job interview, he got some pizza, and then we went home. Because I was out in the middle of the day's heat, I was wilted when I got home. I took a long nap. When I woke up, that's when I found out Gail was here talking to my father.
I tried getting getting a picture of Harry, but no luck. The kitten wouldn't stand still long enough. His color is in between that of Cozy and C.C. Beth didn't think of a name yet. He's Harry at the moment. It might stick. Harry popped out of my head for a name. Harry would go with the theme of names like Graysie Lou Freebush, Gizmo, Chibi Cozy, Meroko, and Pikachu. Only Scooter and Cozy are not named after some movie/cartoon/book character. Harry came from Harry Potter. I'm not even into everything Harry Potter. Harry's caretaker at the moment is my father. My father is enjoying Harry's company. PupPup has also been interested in Harry. I think we have a new surrogate mother. When Misty died, we lost our surrogate mother cat. Now, we have a surrogate dog who thinks she's a cat. ![]()

Awe, CC looks just like my Sandy did.
Isn't this heat terrible!?! I could have used a nap today myself!
The beach I'm going to is Isle of Palms, SC, outside of Charleston. I'm not sure how far from Savannah that is? I was going to go to Hilton Head, but I couldn't find an affordable room there for the week of my vacation.
My only plans are to take my iPod, a few books, a blanket, and just sit on the beach enjoying the peace all day... no ringing phones, no customers, no employee problems... just me, the ocean, and a good mystery.
Charleston is about 3 hours from Savannah. While in Charleston, check out the sites. I wish I had time to go see Ft. Sumter when I've been there. The SC Aquarium is cool. It's not like the TN one, but it's a nice little one. If you like Mexican food, check out Juanita Greenberg's Nacho Royale. They also have Sticky Fingers in Charleston. I don't know if they have that in your part of TN. We just got one in Savannah in the past few months. I haven't tried it, yet.

Hopefully I'll be able to visit Savannah soon - it's on my places to see list.
Lynn, as long as I have notice and money, nowhere is too far for me.
