"My Favorite Mistake"
June 21, 2006

I was listening to a Sheryl Crow CD I made for my car today. That song came on. It got me thinking. In the end of all my thinking, I came to the conclusion how hurtful it is when someone doesn't tell you the truth. Ah, just that's another lifetime ago. I'm slowly moving on from that relationship that stung me. After all, a wise woman once told me I'll get over it, in time.

I went to school today to meet with some classmates. We didn't have class today, but the three of us met to choose our debate topic. We finally agreed on abstinence versus safe sex education. I'll be playing the devil's advocate in promoting abstinence only education. We figured it's a broad enough topic to find plenty of resources for the project. We need at least ten for the project.

Yesterday, I did some tweaking on my site. I reduced myself to one blogroll. As for sites I did delete, either they weren't available at check yesterday, I moved them to the links database, or I can access them other ways. I only have a few Xanga sites listed. I don't like the whole Xanga system. Xanga has RSS feeds for users, but they don't notify a pinging service to denote any updates. Besides, I like tweaking with my own system. I'm not one into relying on others. That was the whole reason I quit using Blogger and installed MT.

The other tweak I did was edit and add a few new smilies. I have a ton now. The new ones are *Loser* (:loser:), *I'm Dizzy* (:dizzy:), *Being Melodramatic* (:melodramatic:), *Spits* (:spit:), *Fever - Sick* (:fever:), and *Applause* () You can find them in the palette.

And yes, I know my Atlanta Braves are sucking like that haven't in 16 years. Loss #8 in a row last night. Our pitching sucks. The defense has fallen asleep at times. The offense can't make up for the pitching and defense. This season's a wash. If I lived closer to Atlanta, I'd go and see them more in person. I still love my Atlanta Braves, don't get me wrong.

That's it for today.
