I need a title, and this is the song that I was listing to as I start this entry.
Today is my day off. I'm not going to do much.
Yesterday, I spent most of my afternoon at school. A few of my co-workers came into the office, so I wasn't totally alone. I started my second module. It's about digital libraries. I wrote a page summarizing the history of LexisNexis. Hey, I should have a nice pay check next week. ![]()
Once I got home, my dad and brother called me into our spare den. Actually, it's my dad's travel trailer. My sisters weren't home, so I went and spent time with them. We ended up watching World Cup soccer. We watched Paraguay lose to Sweden. That was a tough loss for Paraguay. The game was at the 20 mark when I got home. We watched it to the end. I was sort of rooting for Paraguay.
I must remember that on my to school, I stopped by Ari's place. I wanted to see if she was still in town. She is. Seems her husband will by heading back to Iraq later this summer, so she's spending her time with him. Growing up as an Army Brat myself, I've witnessed how precious spending time with your loved one is. She was glad to see me. She saw my Michigan pics and was glad to see I went. I told her we'll have to get together after her husband leaves. Of course, I don't wish that he goes, but sadly, it's part of his job.
I decided this last week, but I've got to post it to force myself to do it tomorrow. Tomorrow night, I'm going to the Savannah Sand Gnats game in town. I haven't been to one of their games in a while. Plus, I want to take my camera and get some shots of the game. Got to support those future Washington Nationals. Tomorrow is going to replica stadium night. Grayson Stadium is one of the oldest parks in the nation. People that have played there include Chipper Jones, Babe Ruth, Mickey Mantle, and Hank Blalock, to name a few players over the years.
