On my way home today, I was listening to my favorite Billy Joel song, again. I hope I never again get trapped in a lie of my heart. Yeah, I cared, but he didn't. I guess I lied to myself about how much he really cared. Just not as much as I liked.
Don't worry, I'm not depressed! I'm just thinking.
At the moment, I'm enjoying my free agency.
Today, I went to the Laurel Grove Cemetery in West Savannah. It's a bit farther from my house than Bonaventure. Also, it's not as ornamental as Bonaventure. I uploaded the photos from today up on Flickr. I'm going to have to get a Pro account, soon. I would say Juliette Gordon Low, founder of American Girl Scouts, is the most famous person buried there. I took a few shots of her family plot. I also took a short of James Pierpont's gravestone. Many people do not know his name, but they know the lasting impact of Christmas that he had. So, what did he do? He wrote the ever famous "Jingle Bells". They also have a Jewish section, like Bonaventure. Also, there are plenty of Confederate memorials out there.
Going to cemeteries is nothing new for me. Nicki and my mother liked to go to see if they could encounter a ghost. I'd go along, but never for ghost hunting. Back between 6th and 7th grades, I was in a summer school program for advanced students. The program was about anthropology. We spent most of our time in a classroom I would end up having 8th grade reading in. We went on two field trips as part of the program. One field trip was to the old cemetery in Fayetteville. We did grave rubbings. We had to be very careful not to get any crayon on the gravestones. Also on that trip, we went to the history museum in Fayetteville. The other field trip, which was all day, was to Town Creek Indian Mound. As you can see, it is something I have done in the past.
After the Laurel Grove stop, I went out to school to work. I spent 3 hours working on making screen shots and outlining, on paper, what to present in my PowerPoint presentation on searching the Web. My presentation must be easy to understand. It's mainly about search engines and how to use them. When I called it quits, I was working on a screen shot dissecting how to use Google. I wasn't alone in my work. A few of the other guys came in to work on their presentations. We're all to meet up tomorrow for more work and pizza.
