American Dreamz
April 22, 2006

I did go see American Dreamz today like I wanted. It was a funny flick satiring the American culture of today. Hugh Grant was perfect as the Simon Cowell-ish character. Dennis Quaid channeled in some Bush into his character. Mandy Moore was wonderful as the young ingenue bitch. I like had she had a sex scene in the movie without actually them showing any sex whatsoever. I've notice that Mandy Moore may make out in movies, but I haven't seen her in a sex scene, yet. The Riza family members of Omer, the showtune loving terrorist (Sam Golzari) and Iqbal, the superstar wannabe helping his cousin(Tony Yalda) were funny. I laughed so hard at parts of the movie because I found it to be so true.

It was nice to get out of the house this afternoon. It was nice being in a cool theater. Someone at the movie complained it was too cold in the theater. *Frown* They turn the air up for the woman. I was a little peeved at that. Going to a theater in the hot city of Savannah is a treat. Theaters know people come to cool off. If you know you run cold, bring a blanket to a movie. Part of the reason I went to the movie is that I wanted to freeze. Thankfully, during the beginning of the movie, an employee turned the air back on. I was *Freezing* cold the rest of the movie, but it was nice.

Well, my dad is home, and so is my Pikachu. We're having hamburgers for dinner and watching the race together. A nice weekend if I say so!

I can see your point about not turning up the air for one person, but then again, most of the people I know freeze at the theater (and not in a good way). Seems they've yet to find a happy medium.

Oh, and my poor mother takes a blanket to the theater and gets treated like an idiot for it.

Your mother isn't an idiot. Those that think she's an idiot are the idiots.
