I was in the IT lounge between classes this morning. My OS professor came in looking for Mike, since I was there. I told the professor I haven't hung out with him since he's busy with his life and I have my own to lead. The professor wanted to approach both of us to assist him with research again. I didn't get to help the professor last summer, but I'll have more time open this summer. I plan on taking two courses that only meet on Mondays and Wednesdays. Well, he wants my help since I'm web savvy. I also discussed with him the fact I won't be taking E-Commerce until Fall 2007. I explained I wanted to take Unix/PHP and Client/Server before E-Commerce. Dr. Zhu was pleased to hear about my plans. He feels those classes would be better to take prior to his E-Commerce class.
I also spoke to Dr. Lau, my Database professor who handles Senior Project. I told him the deal about the two classes at once next fall. He agreed with the Client/Server prior to E-Commerce, too, when I spoke to him before Dr. Zhu. He told me it would be better if I get my other classes out of the way before getting to Project. We agreed I'll start in in the spring of '07, have summer to work on it, and graduate in fall. Now, it's just to cram in 2 level 3000 classes and other classes to keep me a full-time student.
Oh, I feel like an idiot of this story. Did you hear about the $30,000.00 found in a New Orleans home by some college students? I read the caption, but not the whole story. It was front page this morning on the school's paper. It seems the students that found the money are from Armstrong, specifically the Baptist Student Union. How about that for publicity of the school?
Well, I hear my bed calling me. I've slept poorly the last few nights. I think a nap will do me some good. Finally, the Thursday Threesome:
Onesome: External-- What sorts of gadgets do having hanging off your computer? We'll spot you that printer, but how about other goodies like scanners, card readers, cameras, MP3 players and such? My computer is a laptop. However, in this house, I have a scanner, an iPod, a digital camera, and compact flash card reader. What do you expect from the IT major? ![]()
Twosome: Hard-- What part of working with computers is hard for you? ...working with one particular piece of software? Getting that camera to connect? ...or dealing with the family members who don't understand what the deal is
Threesome: Drive-- What drives you to the computer? Is it friends? Work? News? Recipes? The weather radar? Reading to learn, Fark, e-mail, games, playing with my site. ![]()

Updated 3/30/2006 3:37PM If there was anytime I needed a date in my life, this is the time. I just got an e-mail saying I will be honored at the School of Computing Banquet. It's probably the ΦKΦ invatation I got during spring break. Well, if I got it alone, that will be fine. I rather have a real date than a faux date for this. ![]()
