I just finished setting up for tomorrow's quiz bowl. I got a t-shirt to wear tomorrow as one of the workers. It's a periwinkle blue color. I had to get it in extra large. They didn't have any large. ![]()
I'm waiting on my friend, Leslie. We're getting together tonight to, weather permitting, play some miniture golf and then watch A Walk to Remember. We were going to watch Pride and Prejudice, but that fell through. Her sister sent the movie back to Netflix.
Tomorrow, I have to be here on campus bright and early for the quiz bowl.
Not much else for me to say about my personal life. However, I do want to get a few things going on in the news off my chest. First, Rusty Yates. I think that man needs a good smacking. I don't condone what Andrea Yates did to the children. However, for her to have 5 kids, being emotionally drained, and then her husband just leaves her home with the kids, most likely glossing over her mental state, well, that disgusted me when it happened. He was their father! He should have done something if Andrea was mentally ill. He knew, but did nothing. Now, it's even more disgusting that he divorced her and remarried. You know he's going to want more children! Well, buddy, if you love children so much, why did you leave your 5 kids with their uinstable mother? I never heard anyone bring up this point during the debate about him getting remarried. I just hope his wife knows what she's in for. I pray to God that is she is strong enough to survive that relationship. If anything happens to her, may God be with her. I doubt he will.
How about Debra Lafave's reasoning for her cheating with a 14-year-old, now that she's "free?"
I hate it when people claim their bi-polar disorder as the reason for doing some of the stunts they pull. Being bi-polar means you have a chemical imbalance. Get on medication to fix it. If you can't afford it, get help for the medication. There's plenty of help out there. I'm bi-polar. I have bi-polar friends. When people use bi-polar as an excuse like this, they make us all with it look like idiots. If she felt bad, she should have sought counseling of the clinical, and not of the sexual, kind.
Now you know why I don't vent on current events. I feel like an idiot for what I just posted above.

glad to read that you're hanging out with new-ish friends more often.
you're starting to bloom a little and that's always good to see.
Thanks.
I had fun Friday night. Also, I had fun yesterday with the Quiz Bowl. My friend, Nina, wants me to come to NC to see her. She lives in Jacksonville, which is an hour southwest of Beaufort.
