What I Do For My Prince Charming!

This charming red head is my Scooter. My mother was the one that got him, but for some reason, he chose me. One of his favorite toys is a beanie animal. I don't know how he got started on them, but if he sees on, he wants it. We had a Teenie Beanie Baby Smoochy hanging around the house. He adopted it as his own. PupPup also likes it, leading to the two from liking each other to hating each other.

Just to see something the other day, I pulled out this from one of our cabinets:

Smoochy the Frog

It is the larger, Beanie Baby version of Smoochy. We've got a cabinet full of Beanie Babies. Yes, we still collect them, but only certain ones. We don't have to have them all now. *Laughing* I still get the rabbits and cats, and anything else that is cute or has a significant date for a birthday. Well, I pulled this out just to see Scooter's reaction. He couldn't believe his eyes! There was his frog, only bigger! My dad referred to it as "Frog on Steroids." As I was throwing the frog to my brother to put it up, Scooter grabbed it from me. Then, as Matthew put it up, Scooter ran to the Beanie cabinet, hoping to get the frog. If only he knew the rest of the cabinet had beanies, too. He'd be in heaven!

However, we only have one big Smoochy. And in the past day or so, he misplaced his Smoochy. So last night, before going to bed, I surfed eBay for a used, tagless Smoochy. I found one, so I ordered it. So, Scooter has an unexpected package coming in the mail that will contain a BIG frog for him. He's going to be a happy cat when he gets it.

Who needs a boyfriend when you have a cat like Scooter? This cat loves me. He wants to be with me. He kisses me. He cries if he can't sleep with me. However, I know that when (not if, when! Gotta be positive!) I get married, he's going to have to fight my husband for attention. He already hates having to share me with the computer. My father was witness over the weekend to Scooter pushing away my laptop and lying on my laptop's keyboard. Well, there's always pros and cons to everything. I guess this is con to having such a sweet cat.

Oh, but I do love my Scooter!
