So, I'm Working On A New Skin…
March 11, 2006

And I've having problems with it. It looks fine on Firefox, but crap on IE. It's only one thing that's giving my trouble. I want a <DIV> to be of height 2 pixels. It's bigger than that on IE. Because of that, it's ugly. I'm not ready to launch the new skin until I can get it fixed. Any CSS pros want to fix it? *Laughing*

I got an interesting piece of mail this afternoon. Seems Armstrong has started it's own Phi Kappa Phi chapter. I've been elected to join. Some famous members of the society are Jimmy Carter, John Grisham, and Netscape founder James Barksdale. I never thought I'd be eligible for any honor societies at the college level. I'll probably join it. I was a member of the National Junior Honor Society and National Honor Society in junior high and high school. I never thought I was eligible for them, either. I remember being at the NJHS induction ceremony in 8th grade. The current 9th grade members at the time were going around the assembly room the day of invitation, tapping the shoulders of the 8th graders invited to join. I figured I wasn't going to be in it. I was one of the last kids to be tapped on the shoulder. The kid that was to tap my shoulder wasn't certain if I was a girl or a guy. *Laughing* At least this time, ΦΚΦ knew I was a Ms.

Unlike Chase. *Laughing* I received a credit card off from them today, too. However, it was addressed to Mr. Shawn. *Shake Head* I tore that thing up. I don't need a credit card, and I don't like mail addressed to me as a Mr. Last time I checked, I lacked a Y chromosome. Georgia Tech did the same to me when I was planning to go back in the summer of 1997. Someone thought because my name was Shawn and I wasn't registered with the Selective Service, I needed to be. They weren't going to let me get financial aid unless I applied. After laughing about it, my mother and I sent a copy of my birth certificate noting I was born female and a copy of my military ID card with my picture on it. At the time, I didn't have a driver's license, just a permit. Maybe we sent a copy of that, too.

I wish my camera was working at the moment. Azaleas are starting to bloom in Savannah. We have plenty of them in the yard. My favorite are the light pink ones, which are a hybrid of the white and purple ones. These three colors are huge. Our red ones are small, however. The ones in bloom at the moment are the red and purple ones. *Smile*
