Last night, my father and I went over to SC to get a few Powerball tickets. It was a nice trip. We dinner at Huddle House. I lost $1.00 in a jukebox. The store didn't tell me after I paid my money that the sound was turned off and no one could turn it on.
And it had Repeat Offender on it, too! There was a Felix the Cat in one of the crane games there. I didn't win it for my dad. However, he got it on his first try, after all my maneuvering. ![]()
This morning, my father, sisters, and I went to Rooms to Go to look for a new couch. We found one that satisfied us all. I'm not sure when we'll get it. We have been wanting a new couch since before my mother died.
This afternoon, I went to school to see the Masquers production of Landford Wilson's Talley's Folly. Taking place in 1944, it's about a 42-year-old Jewish emigrant and a 31-year-old American woman made to like she's not meant to be loved because she can't have children. Throughout the course of the play, the woman fights off her feelings for the man. He keeps fighting her rejection and let it be known about his past. Eventually, they realize that in the scheme of life, someone brought them together because they were made for each other. It was a sweet play. I'm really glad I went. It's playing next weekend at school, too, but I won't be able to go. If you are in the Savannah area, go see it.
Friday, I'll be on my way to Dahlonega after my Astronomy class. After the play, I went to Target to purchase a few items for that trip.
As I told my father, this is a trip my mother encouraged me to take as soon as I told her about it. Looks like while I'm up there, I'll be throwing together an Astronomy paper. I'll probably do something on the Soviet space program. I don't feel as if the Soviet space program gets its dues from Americans.
Later this week, on Thursday, there will be a Career Fair at the school. If I go, it's 2 points towards the scholarship.
I'm 3 points away from completing my requirements for the semester. I'll be getting a point tomorrow for the ACM meeting. If I can just survive past next week, school will be a lot easier for me. I will have my scholarship requirements completed and Astronomy will be complete. ![]()
