Onesome: Going-- out on a limb: are you watching the Olympics? ...obsessed by them? ...or are they just one more reason to watch "Leave it to Beaver" reruns? I've been watching parts here and there. I watched some USA vs. NZ men's curling the other morning. I saw the Zhangs fall and win the silver with their long program. That's all I can recall from my Olympic watching this year.
Twosome: for the-- heck of it: what happened in your neck of the woods on Groundhog Day? Are you looking at six more weeks of Winter or is Spring poking its head around the corner? Gen. Beauregard Lee, Georgia's own version of Punxsutawney Phil , predicted an early spring in Georgia. 
Speaking of the General, one of my friends once teased me for living in Georgia for as long as I have (about 20 years now) and never gone to Stone Mountain. When the General made his prediction last year, I mentioned his prediction. The life-long Georgia living friend had no clue who the General was. 
I told the friend to never kid me about Stone Mountain after that.
Threesome: Gold-- Golden dreams: did you ever aspire to any sports championships? How about academic ones? How did that work out for you? I was never the athletic child. As for academics, I was the first winner of the Geography Bee at Irwin Middle School. I was in 6th grade. I was also 2nd place in 8th grade at Albritton Jr. High. Speaking of Albritton, I have a picture of my Cadette troop in Savannah when I was in 8th grade. I'm an uber-geek in it! I laughed at my hair in the picture. It was parted just like Logan's long hair was in high school. I'm so glad I'm no longer than geek I was. Okay, I'm still a geek, but I hide it better than I used to.

*Definitely watching intently, particularly speedskating as that is my new sport! It took me 15 years to find out I'm better on ice than on the other track!!! Also enjoying all the ski events and of course, figure skating and hockey!

*It was really warm last week and then we were hit with a cold snap to remind us it's still just February. Not that I'm complaining; I love this!

*Having finally found the sport that's perfect for me and my gargantuan quads/hamstrings, I'm just now starting to compete come September (when the season starts). And of course, I haven't given up my quest for Olympic glory. Vancouver 2010, baby!!
