I always associate this song with fall and colder weather. I just turned 13 when it was big. I was trying to be a teenager while still be a child. I was just starting to enjoy music I found on my radio without anyone telling me to like it. 13 was an awkward age for me. I won't get into how awful some of the things from that time was. Anyway, this song came out at that time and I listened to it today. I thought I'd just post it to share for the fun of it. It's the perfect weather for it, for me.
"Too Many Walls" by Cathy DennisAs for school for me today, well, I blew my Calc test. I told my mother that I'm resigned to the fact that if I don't get credit for it this semester, I'll just take it again. I'm in this math for the long run. My other classes were fine today.Wish on a rainbow is all I can do
Dream of the good times that we never knew
No late nights alone in your arms
I'll dream on
Living in wonder, thinking of you
Still looking for ways to uncover the truth
You're so young is all they can say
They don't know.
If I could change the way of the world
I'd be your girlToo many walls have been built in between us
Too many dreams have been shattered around us
If I seem to give up they'll still never win
Deep in my heart I know the strength is withinWatching the others chances drift by
They'll never discover these feelings I hide
Deep inside I'm falling apart
All alone with a broken heart
Thinking in silence is all they allow
These words still unspoken may never be found
All these dreams one day will be mine
They cross my mind
My time has yet to come
Until thenToo many walls have been built in between us
Too many dreams have been shattered around us
If I seem to give up they'll still never win
Deep in my heart I know the strength is withinToo many walls have been built in between us
Too many dreams have been shattered around us
If I seem to give up they'll still never win
Deep in my heart I know the strength is within
