Onesome: Butterflies-- 'Tis the end of butterfly season, at least here in the Northern Hemisphere (hey, we have readers and respondents in the Southern); what are looking forward to seeing around the yards and neighborhoods in the next few months. (...besides snow, unless that's all you have staring back at you during the Winter months!) Just dead grass.
I don't think we've ever had a reasonable bit of snow since I moved here to Savannah.
Twosome: are-- Are your sports teams doing okay this Fall? Baseball is down to the final stretch and it's time to chose up sides! ...and football is darned interesting at the six-week mark? No interest? How about curling <g>? Atlanta Braves failed in the postseason, again.
As for the Fall Classic, I'm probably going to root for the Houston Astros, since this their first time. However, I will not be sad if the Chicago White Sox win. They haven't won since 1917. It's just a relief it's not another New York Yankees World Series. Let's face it, most of the world was getting sick of seeing them all the time.
Threesome: Free-- What is your favorite "freebie"? That 'buy one, get one free' sale? ...the ice cream cone from your local shop on your birthday? The samples at Starbucks? Inquiring minds and all that... I'll answer this question with a quote: "I don't care how much money you have, free stuff is always a good thing." - Queen Latifah.
In other news, my life is going crazy at the moment. I'm worried about a dear friend. It's not so much the not hearing from him in a week. We've gone through that before. What's got me worried is that I haven't heard from him in a week, after he said he'd get in touch with me AND the fact he was not at school Tuesday when he had two assignments due. I've contacted him on Tuesday and yesterday and today, in concern about a project we are working on in a group, but I've heard nothing as much as "I'm alive - that's all you need to know." I hope he shows up today for our planning session and network tour. I know it's not my place to worry about him. He's a grown man. So why do I do it? One, they say be the type of friend you wish you had. I wish I had a friend that would be willing and able to kick my ass if I were slack off on school work. Also, I'm concerned. We're at similar points in life. I'd just hate to think something's wrong with him, thus leading him to give up on school. He's too smart to let his skills go to waste. It would be a shame if he gave up on school.
And yeah. Like I said, it's not my place to worry. I just can't help it.

Yes! Free stuff is always a good thing. I should have put up a similar answer, but I have writing on the brain.
Posted by: sya at October 20, 2005 12:15 PMThat's understandable. I just used that quote because I cxouldn't have said it any better.
As for the having something on the brain, so do I.
