Yeah, I awoke to sunlight this morning but now it's wet outside.
At least it's getting warm outside.
Last night, my mother, Beth, and I attempted to see Miss Congeniality 2. We went to the show. We paid for tickets. About an hour and 15 minutes into the movie, the gears for one of the panels broke. We could hear the movie but not watch it. We then lost sound. For about 10 minutes, the theater was full of quiet chaos. Most of the people in the theater were laughing the longer we were without a movie. When it was pitch black in there, we all pulled out our cell phones to provide a little light. At point in the dark, one man screams "Shh! I'm trying to watch a movie!"
Such a shame I don't have a boyfriend! I'm sure we would have had some fun in the dark. ![]()
Well, for those of us that were watching the movie, we could have moved to the other theater screen playing the movie, wait to see if they could fix the projector, or get a refund. Most of us there chose the refund since we were so far into the movie. In my eyes, it would have lost some of its punch if we had to watch half the movie again. After work, my mother, Beth, and I are going back to the theater to watch the movie again.
I can now say I've experienced a movie malfunction. Also while it was down, I told my mother the gurgling sounds of the projector as they were trying to fix it reminded me of a scene from Gremlins. My mother got a kick out of that.
All in all, I did have a fun night with my mom and sister.
Yesterday in 2100, we finished watching The Birds. I never saw this movie until this week. I can't wait for the class discussion on it. I don't understand why if they knew the birds were attacking the town, why did they stay in town? I would have left ASAP. Also, when the birds clustered outside of the schoolhouse, by running away, they basically invited the birds to attack!
Still, I hate swarms of birds. I've always heard jokes about this movie and seen clips of it. I always fear a bird is going to swarm me.
