Actually, I back to Savannah yesterday around 5:15 My mother picked me up at the school and gave one of my co-workers a ride back to her dorm. After we left the campus, we met Nicki at her job and then the 3 of us went to dinner. After dinner, I came home and watched part of the Budweiser Shootout. I gave my dad a good laugh admitting I know the names of most of the drivers and I don't even really watch NASCAR, except with him. I think I've learned all the names while watching SportsCenter on baseball updates in the 4 years I've been into baseball. ![]()
The trip was all right. Our Writing Center's poster presentation was a success. It was presented yesterday morning. I was one of the presenters for the whole morning. The other was Karen, our undergrad boss as we all consider her to be. We also had to attended at least two mini-seminars while at this Writing Cetner conference. I attended both of mine early Friday morning which is why I was allowed to be a presenter on Saturday. I'm sure the fact that I'm IT major and the presentation was about our website didn't hurt, either.
Some of mini-seminars I attended were interesting. Some were boring. Four of the presentations were read straight from a paper. I was honest with my boss about finding them boring because the presentations were bland. Not only were the papers read, but the presenters read in a monotone voice, instead of using their voice as a tool.
I'd type more at the moment but I need to do a few things this morning like NOW.
I'll just share with you my moblog photos from my trip. Leave me a comment if you want. ![]()
