I decided to watch a movie tonight. I pulled out Legally Blonde. Some people probably think I'm crazy to enjoy it and that it's out of my league, but I really identify with "Elle" in some regards. I can identify with her going to Harvard not because she wanted to, but because her ex-boyfriend went and that's all she wanted. However, she discovered in time that she was more than capable of being a lawyer. In time, she discovered herself and she had people that believed in her. I love how "Emmitt" saw her for her real potential and encouraged her. I cannot forget how she stayed true to her personality. I like that. And you know what, she was a sweet girl.
I have to admit, this movie is one of the reasons I got back into college. It made me realize I could do it.
Ad for the sequel, everytime I watch the original, just thinking of the sequel make me shutter because they butchered the history of the first movie for moola.
Not that the sequel was bad, it probably would have been good if there was no original.

I've never seen Legally Blonde even though it was filmed partly at the university I was going to at the time. (Yeah, substituting a Tech school for Harvard? That's just wrong...) But this totally reminds me of a girl I knew in high school who really did go to Harvard pre-law because of her ex-boyfriend. I don't know where she is now, but hopefully working at a good law firm somewhere...

Posted by: Shawn at November 26, 2004 9:11 AMWho knows. I haven't seen the movie so I might as well be wrong. But that's what I've heard other people say.
