Well, you have heard about Hurricane "Frances"? Who in the US hasn't? Well, on Monday, the Evil Empire, a/k/a the New York Yankees was unable to play the first game of the scheduled doubleheader because the Tampa Bay Devil Rays didn't get into town in time for the game. The DRays decided to wait out the weekend in the Tampa area because they felt family was more important than baseball in the time of severe weather. Well, the Yankees decided that they wanted a forfeit from the DRays. MLB declined the forfeit request and scheduled Monday's missed game for last night.
The best part of this all? The remnants from "Frances" moved into the Northeast last night and forced the Yankees/Devil Rays doubleheader for last night to be postponed until tonight! 
I just find humor in it all. I just don't understand that team at all. Everyone wants to win but the Yankees these days take it to extremes. I guess maybe that's why they haven't won the World Series since 2000 and probably won't win it this year.
And now for me to type up another post because I don't want to trackback to the Thursday Threesome with "Karma's A Bitch" as my title.

It's not the Yankees year this year anyway. Even though I am a fan, I do think they try too hard and Steinbrenner uses money and influence to get players that don't always cut it. Big Example: ARod!

Kevin Brown was pretty stupid to punch a wall. As for the team, I think all the free agents and trades over the past few years are catching up.

If you look at the stats, the one the team that will be the one to watch is St. Louis. I find that they will be the ones to hit the series with a winning chance this year. Same with Atlanta. We'll see though.
