Dreams-Lickin' Good.
August 1, 2004

I was writing this post about 40 minutes ago when Scooter stepped on my keyboard and put the computer into sleep mode. Just one problem with that; it's turned off and my computer won't come back to life if it's activated by the keyboard. So, I had to reboot and then got carried away with another project.

Ok, to the content I was going to post. My first dream I had, before Nicki woke me up on her way to work, has another movie plot dream featuring Ben again. Why him, I don't know. This time, he was a detective along with Nia Vardalos investigating some clothes rip off ring where poor people stole high fashion clothes and then sold them under malls for lower prices. *Confused* My role in the dream was to hook Ben & Nia's characters together. Without this love angle, the movie was pretty bland. I believe I succeeded in the movie.

The dream I had after my sister left to go to work dealt with junior high school. It involved that from those days, Amanda. Except this dream didn't take place in junior high, but middle school, a school I had the pleasure to avoid her butt. Instead of being the sweet, awkward girl that put up with her mean crap, I blew up in her face and told her off when she started going off on me again. It happened to be by the lockers. I started on my teachers from 8th grade, too, about why did they let her be such a to me. Of course, I know in real life, they are responsible for her being a , her upbringing is. However, she knew not to pick on me again. And I wasn't a 14-year-old girl in this dream. I was an adult. After blasting Amanda and the teachers, I went to mall and met a cute guy.

My brains comes up with the weirdest things. And what's the meaning of lockers?

Ok, now that I have my dreams out of the way, I'll just talk about my observances from TV last night. I was watching Baseball Tonight to get caught up on all of yesterday's non-wavier trade deadline deals. They showed a clip of the Oakland A's/Texas Rangers and Barry Zito setting up for his pitch. I wonder if anyone has checked out his eyesight lately. The clip shown of him was of him squinting and leaning in to see his catcher's signs. Being as a nearsighted person since I was 10-years-old, that's a classic case of someone not being able to see far off objects. If his eyesight is 20/20, with or without corrective lenses, then his catcher needs some better nail polish for Barry to see at the mound but not runners at second base. However, Barry's win-loss record is only at .500 this year with a win last night and he is a better pitcher than his 2003 & 2004 numbers suggest. Poor eyesight could explain the bad outings.

Also last night during Baseball Tonight, there was an ad for a new Nike show. It showed a shoe getting bigger in size and then popping open to "give birth" to a new shoe. Not an ad I ever expected to see.

Finally, last night, I pulled out Jessica Simpson's In This Skin to listen to while on the computer. It's a good album. She sounds grown up on it. She's a grown, married version of the girl from her debut album, Sweet Kisses. I wonder what went wrong with her second album, Irresistible. Why did they make her a Britney clone on that album? The only song worthy on her second album is "Forever In Your Eyes," a song her husband co-wrote while they were still dating. Irresistible is one of the few CDs I regret purchasing for the price I did. I don't normally recommend getting an album at used stored but Irresistible is one I don't mind recommending at all.

Don't forget to add your birthday to the sidepanel!

Yes, but at least I didn't have a Ben dream last night!

I don't even remember what I dream 99% of the time... But that 1% I do remember is usually weird. LOL
