My regular readers know of a certain recurring theme in my dreams - a certain boy I pined for in high school and lockers. Notice the dreams always involve lockers? I think that deals with the fact that we shared the same 4th period class in tenth grade, forcing us to be assigned lockers in the same area, his locker being two away from mine.
Well, I believe I had a breakthrough last night. Yes, the dream dealt with the boy and involved my lower locker next to his lower locker. However, instead of pining all over him and being shy, I was not shy. I was outgoing and spoke to him like everyone else. As for having feelings for him, they were there but more like friendly feelings, not the feeling I had in high school. After speaking, instead of wishing we spent more time talking, I went on my merry way to my next class.
And let me tell you, I felt GREAT after waking up from that dream. However, not from walking into the boys' locker room accidentally on my way to a philosophy class after that encounter.
I didn't see anything and I didn't want to. I was too euphoric over my progress at the lockers.

sounds like a breakthrough!
we didn't have assigned lockers. we had the freedom to choose any locker that was available. i always picked mine in the same vicinity as a certain boy from h.s. who I THOUGHT was done making cameos in my dreams but was in mine last night.

Posted by: Dragon at July 29, 2004 3:43 PMI had assigned lockers although it changed every year. I was more paranoid about having my books stolen than really caring about who else was next to me.
Posted by: sya at July 29, 2004 5:37 PMMy assigned locker changed every semester. However, in 10th grade, Mr. Boston Airport and I shared the same 4th class both semesters. And while we still would have been as close as were were together had the roll been alphabetical, the roll was separated by magnet students (like he was) and non-magnet students (like I was). Yet some how, we still ended up close together in the roll since most of the magnet students had last names in the first part of the alphabet and the non-magnet students had last names in the last part. Our last names were smack in the middle of the alphabet.
What this dreams means, I hope, it means I can be free of nothing holding me down. Like Richard sings, "Why waste tomorrow chasin' yesterday?" However, know my luck, he will appear in say two months.
Ans Sya, I had problems with lockers in 6th and 11th grade. Some kept stealing my doughnuts in 6th grade and in 11th grade, someone stole my Economics book.
