It's as if Richard Marx is a scant memory in Savannah, GA. His new single is not on radio here in town and I can't find his new single anywhere, either. It's a bit depressing. I feel like I'm the only fan of his in town and I can't do all the promotion myself. I've requested that Z102 add it but I have heard nothing because he's not HIP enough. After stopping by FYE today for the 4th time this week and finding out they do not have it, I've given up finding it in town.
Well, at least while I was out at the mall, I spent some time walking around the mall before FYE opened. As for school, I only made a 90
on my last History test. Oh well; it's still an A
Yesterday, after my 1993 post, I decided to do a Google search on Ryan, just for the fun of it. I wanted to see if maybe he had a blog. Well, not one that I know of but I found him quoted in a BBC News article titled "Can Brits stars crack America?". I figure it must be him because that's the city I tracked him to be living in the last time I did a search for him about a year or so ago. Seems he's into Oasis probably like I love Richard Marx. The funny thing about this article is it's something Nicki could have been quoted on. She loves British pop acts and has plenty of import CDs from many of the acts. However, she gets bummed when seeing something like Billie Piper's second ablum never seeing the light of day in the US.
You know, I stop once in a while and wonder if any one is ever looking for me online. I have only had one e-mail query asking who I was and it was to see if I was the daughter of my father from one of his ex-girlfriends. That's a long story I won't go into details with on this blog. However, I have only hever had one query I guess was for me. I found it in my logs a few months back looking for my first and last name and Savannah, GA. It originated from Albany, NY. They never landed on my front page. Just an archive page with a comment from my "cousin," Seglenda, who posted with her full name. When it happend, att first I was paranoid it was a bill collector but now I'm not so sure.
Well, I posted a simple page on my Comcast account last night listing my name, a picture, and an e-mail address (not linked and coded!), such that if someone was looking for me, they could find me.
Must go for now, must run some errands.

If someone was looking for me, I have no clue because I don't have access to the referral logs of the sites that do contain my name, picture, and contact info and no one has e-mailed me--yet. Only four people who I know in real life have actually visited my blog and extremely infrequently at that. I'm just thinking that no one is wondering about me at all. (Which in some ways, is a good thing.)
Posted by: sya at July 16, 2004 7:24 PMI agree about not wanting some people to find you - like the bullies from your past. If I ran into them anywhere, it would be too soon!
Posted by: Shawn at July 17, 2004 1:56 PMMakes me wonder too if anyone is looking for me. I know my one friend from high school found me through classmates.. Probably not though. I wasn't like hugely popular and moved away as soon as I was out of school. Not only that but I only went from grades 8-12 at that school so didn't have like life time friends there and the people prior to 8th grade probably don't even remember I existed. Kinda sad and depressing when I think about it. Probably the only people that MIGHT look for me are some I met in the Navy etc.
